I agree that having current players 'retire' in franchise mode and become coaches would be pretty neat.
I'm guessing Torre is only in there as an option now because they got his rights to use as a player card again. They may have the same hoops to go through for likeness rights with Mgrs as they do with players. Would be neat to have Piniella, Weaver, Billy Martin or others like those you named though.

What about Canseco? Would pair well with the Big Mac card if they incorporated the two together. He's not as much of a diva as Bonds by any stretch and steroids are obviously not a concern for SDS at this point so they may have pulled something off there... just thinking out loud, so to speak.

No way Bonds is in the game. Sorry. Not happening. I don't have any ideas on who it would be but I am positive it isn't him.

@tear4eddy_PSN if they set it up so you have to send the runner that could be confusing to some. It still should have counted whether he had the runner 'in motion' or not and that is a coding error. Not a huge deal but makes it not so straightforward as it seems. No need to judge someone trying to navigate that

Are you sending the runner on the sac bunt attempts? I'm wondering if it has to do with that. Maybe either he is supposed to be running or not supposed to be running and only one way is correct in how they coded it. (Either SHOULD count but it's possible it's coded funny).

They really need to make those cards more useable. Wouldn't have been difficult to put together a TA program specifically for them. I enjoy the storylines themselves. They just need to do more to encourage use of them.

I agree, but I do enjoy the primary 'old school ' stats: BA, HR, RBI, SB for hitters and ERA, Ks, etc when my pitcher comes in.

Yeah, unfortunately I only got to the first boss myself. Went ahead and took beltre as he is most expensive and then bought Manny just to have him. I'll probably buy Mac when I have enough stubs just in case I want them down the road. I would think their prices will only go up from here for a while at least

I haven't played any online yet this year. I haven't been able to get to where I have a team I felt I could compete with. I'm not great to begin with so I'll just end up playing a few at some point when I have a team I really like.

I used to do that with the A's. Now they've moved I do the exact opposite. I plan on completing everything this year (except their TA) without doing a single inning using one of their players. I hate it but it's where I'm at now.

Agree with OP. I would really like to see (accurate) stats for my guys.
I generally go with the flow and just enjoy the game even with the occasional issue that pops up, but I definitely get frustrated when I see the stupid attributes instead of stats when I hit R2

Relocation because some rich owner wants it is a BS move. As an OAKLAND A'S fan I am livid about what happened to that team for the sake of the tens of thousands of fellow fans who got shafted. I love baseball but hate that the whim of a few powerful ppl can affect so many.
Also, please don't try and blame the local govt for the A's move. They bent over backwards to try and make it happen and Fisher kept moving the goalpost because he didn't really want to be there.

Couldn't hit for crud with that card though.
