I'm happy that people who did awful things aren't in my favorite video game. If you're indifferent to the terrible things they did, including pain and suffering they caused to some, then I have little sympathy for you

I do. And I'm generally quiet about that kind of stuff on here. I'm sure many others care as well. Just like social media though, some of the loudest voices here are the type who don't care about right/wrong and just want to see things implemented the way they want to 'own' the other side.
But just because a few of you bring it up doesn't mean Alomar, Rose, Puckett, et al will ever be in the game.
And I for one am very happy to know that

I've heard of exactly 3 of these performers and actually listen to none.
This middle age guy from the PNW just turns the music off first thing as well though anyway so it doesn't really matter to me.

I hope Tony Gwynn is still in. I always enjoy using his cards.
Am I understanding right that Jim Abbott may NOT be in the game? I thought he was confirmed a few weeks ago. I'm going to be really disappointed now if he isn't there.

I can't say I'm "excited" by all these things, but overall I do feel they are good moves and I'm glad to see them.

Steve Balboni would be a fun one.

I would also be thrilled with a Benny Santiago card. They would need the animation to have him throw from his knees however!
Side note... I was never a great IRL player, but I was good at 2 things: bunting, and throwing guys out from my knees as a catcher. I practiced that SO much because of him.

I've played every year from 989 studios beginning and on. Started with RBI Baseball and Baseball Stars though. I've always had a baseball game to play since I was a kid. Used to do all my own play by play/commentary before they actually put it in the game.
I'm middle age now but still dream of someday doing play by play of a real game.

I really hope they cap the sell price like it was at the beginning of last year. Raising those amounts just made it impossible for many players to complete specific collections and completely priced out lots of people who came in later.

Wasn't he a 3 time WS champ, too? Packed a lot in to his career as a specialist.

I will pre-order like I do every year. Same thing for my son for his version on the Switch.
I know it isn't a perfect game. I know there will be lots I'll say they should have or could have done. Overall though, I also know I'll get my money's worth by the end of the season.
And hopefully this isn't the year my son gets better than me at it ..

Oooooh. They could absolutely pair songs with stadiums and do that. That could be kind of cool. Though it would suck if you had to earn the one or two songs you like, but still... The concept has possibilities.

Love this for Cleveland fans. As a former Oakland A fan I'm super jealous of a team making sure they work something out and keep a star long term.
I'm really happy for them and my respect for JRam goes even higher.

I still think Skubal has a good shot, with Kurtz as a dark horse candidate.
That said, I think Skubal and Raleigh could be a duo with some play on the pitcher/catcher tandem aspect for catch phrase... "Battery powered!" or something like that.

I have PS5 but we have a switch 2 for my son. I'm interested to see how it plays compared to the regular switch last year.

I think to your question, the Phillies and Padres are likely to have solid lineus, while the Mets' lineup could either break out or crash and burn. We'll have to see how it goes but should be an interesting year for quite a few teams.
