I hit a 3 run bomb on a SH*T PCI placement to win on a Contact swing...after getting no hit for 9 innings and having several nearly perfect contacts. This game is garbage.
How is it I am losing Showdown moments, when 2/3rds of my hits are Good/Good or better....how is it Diamond Tino and Diamond Chipper hit perfect/perfect ground outs?
SDS, please bring it back to day one, scoring runs is fun and grinding showdown when its clear the game wants you to lose is a waste of time.
I think all three guys make most peoples squad, unless youve completed the collections. Roberts is better than Sandburg; switch hitter with a better swing. Shane is a poor manys Mantle and Chipper...common, its Chipper! Youre using his swing on you CAP.
I had 4 of them my last game, 3 of them outs, one a double play and lost 7-6 to a clown with a goat badge, who replayed 2 of his "okay/good" homeruns. WTF!?
If you use production software to track fps, the number of frames for x mph pitch, ie a 99 mph fastball, does change in online play. This is either due to lag, poor coding or (my opinion) the game pre selects someone to hinder/help. Its not in your heads. The pitch speeds are not represented in the game the same way game to game, even when using the same pitcher.
Kluber is easy to hit after a couple innings. It is annoying seeing him every game though. I dont use him anymore, unless i need a long distance arm out of the pen...specifically because people hate seeing him so much. They should let you pick, just limit a guy to once per 4 games, no matter how much stamina he has left as an SP.
It's not complaining to point out that hitting this game is broken and makes no sense. Saying it's 'just a game' doesn't excuse the fact that you winning or losing is determined by the game and not your inputs.
Between 'Contact' swinging for homruns on balls outside of the PCI, to Perfect Power swings leading to ground balls in the upper 3rd with Joey Gatto, there's no reason to play this game. Input means nothing!
Don't tell me to "get good". Make a better game.
My RTTS player is an SS...then shows up as a 2B in DD. Then I get an Architype card for LF...when I am trying to create a Catcher!
WTF?! Beyond frustrated.
It'd be less bad if my stats would improve, my RTTS gains don't apply to DD though. And neither does my gear, so I'm stuck being a trash player.
100%! Unfortunately, snow flakes get [censored] hurt when they cant pitch or have to earn a win, so decent to good players languish in good/good to perfect/perfect hell...meanwhile, have you noticed the defintion of both are all over the place. Balls in the middle of the pci are "okay" now.
Showdown is easy...when the computer isn't set up to win ahead of time, by giving you outs on Perfect/Perfect like 5 times, then hits on BS contact with 1 out left...I don't need the "suspense" SDS, just be consistent.
You're not the only one who's ever had this issue. If you play around with the jersey colors and the hitters eye color in a X park you like, it can be near impossible to pick up the ball. You can also put you both at a disadvantage by picking a park is HELLA shadow in the infield, makes seeing the ball in the sun way harder than it needs to be.

Played an event game just now and gace up a 2 run bomb to Hanley. Not mad when guys hit homeruns, the path of the ball seemed very odd though...
I replayed and for several frames, the ball hun motionless in the air, ahead of the person swinging, on a pitch he was VERY late on. Gave him a perfect...wtf?
With the game being played in realtime, it either picked the best time possible to freeze or the game chose to give him an HR...i lean to the latter. Wonder why i never go on runs of more than 7-8 games without losing..
