They should say "caught" cheaters because many of the guys in the MLBTS were juicing.

Just make all cards available at this point. No reason not to.
-
That is turn 2, not turn 4. I am on the reinforce phase of turn 1. Never even got to turn 2. Kind of buggy.
-
- I beat the Orioles, Yankees, Dodgers, Twins, and Tampa on turn one and then stole 4M fans fron the Tigers before starting turn 4. I somehow lost the Yankees spot to MIA. The Twins and Ray's spot to the Giants. The Giants lost the bottom of the "E" to the Tigers. How does that basically happen before turn 2? Come on SDS. If you want something done in order allow it to be done in order.
Anyone else see this. I don't recall this behavior any other time playing conquest. How do I lose 4 spots on turn 1 after taking the slot on HOF difficulty?

@lckdb
I think you need to win 20 games to get the 10k-13k provided by completing mini-seasons. I wouldn't say that was an easy exploit to cruise past the XP cap daily. Last year people were getting huge XP gains while sleeping or barely playing the game.
I was told in training to not just come with a problem without at least offering a solution. I would like to see people post a problem and then offer a few logical solutions that do not cost SDS money or alienate offline/online players.
-
Seems like veteran pitch timing offline is off. I see it in mini-seasons for some reason. I could be wrong, but it seems fast on meter.
-
So a couple of things:
- SDS is a business designed to make money. The wider the net for supported systems and end users, the higher the overhead. We are essentially mad at them for being what most other online sports games are because they never used to be that way? It was always going to be this way and you they are still doing better than other game developers.
2.) There might be a pack incoming. If you want X player early you pay now, but if you wait there isn't a fee to obtain that same player. Seems like it is pay to play this second, but free to play in a week. I would give them a bit of grace until we see how it plays out. They said they have a plan and I believe them.

@Jhonattan_RD
They are nerfing him now so the interest will die down once the hype does. If he is no longer throwing 90 and then dropping a 50 mph knuckler in there he will fall fast.

@Sarge1387
They weren't allowed time to patch it properly? They have test environments (likely multiple) that mirror Production (Pre-Prod) and they have software that simulates heavy user activity and even bandwidth. They also have an environment for each system architecture (Nintendo/Switch/PS5/PS4/XBOX/PS Pro). They can simulate cross-play too.
Unless they missed it which is on them then they decided to release the update as is, which is also in them. I do this for a living and we miss things, but we also release as is sometimes because a cost-benefit analysis told us to do so. The number one job is to make money and while perfect game play can go hand-in-hand with that, when it comes to money (PR is money this early in the game cycle) or game play, money always wins out.

@x814xmafia
Which as a consumer, you have every right to do. Imagine this was a car and a feature didn't work on that new car that you purchased. Then someone says, well it was broken last year, why did you buy this year's model? It is funny how quickly people lose sympathy when something is not their problem.

My gut feeling on this:

SDS listened to the fans hating the format of seasons, but they still had 3 big problems.
A. People bought fewer bundles to buy packs. So many 99's were out day one that it cut a bit into profit. B. People starting the game new were at a disadvantage in previous MLBTS releases, keeping the season format allowed players to start when they can and still be competitive in the current season. C. TA content would drop and people would grind for 7-10 days and be done. More releases per season is not the same as bigger releases once a season. For those angry about cards being locked like they were last year, there are 4 wild card spots so it is a solid solution. But, don't be fooled by gradual progression. MUT uses gradual progression and you get an 85-87, 89-91, 93-95, 97 and 99 of the same card.
SDS has to make money, their program has gotten bigger. They added Switch and XBOX and are supporting current gen, prior-gen, PC, and likely future-gen efforts at the same time now. Looking around the game developer landscape, cuts and acquisitions are happening every week. I like that SDS is taking a chance at some change, but a lot of gameplay is going to get a new bow on old wrapping paper until a PS Pro/PS 6 architecture is available IMO.

I have a question about my account that SDS customer support and Sony players support have been unable to address in any capacity. Thank you in advance although I know my chances are probably slim.

@doobiebross66-72
Any conversation centered around a football game being the demise of a baseball game is not something I can take seriously. If a rival competitor was dropping an awesome baseball release, I could see it being an issue. But this is like me being an apple lover and saying that I am skipping apples while grocery shopping this week because the peaches look good.
-
I would have tried, but my Season 1 and Season 2 cards were on one account (suspended for 6 months) and the other account had the rest. With that being said, it was tougher this year and they thought so too as there wasn't a final collections tied to the overall count. I thought they would use the cards under the GOAT section as a collect all for the big reward.

@go4stros25
I guess SDS decided that losing the opportunity to sell to more baseball fans was a bad idea. Hard to blame them for that, but people on the site will. I have my own issue with SDS (like banning me for taking a single reimbursement per the Playstation support recommendation for the first time after hundreds and hundreds of purchases. Or... the inability to get through to someone at SDS to express my concern), but none of them are tied to the actual game in 2023. I just thought maybe 2024 should have been free to me given my lost season from my primary account after dropping more than $1k on the game prior to being suspended by SDS.

I hit .300+ online with one Juan Soto and under .150 online with the better version. I can't hit with Ripken or Schmidt. I am obviously not a very good player, but I find it odd that I am much better with one version or a cards and not the other.

@nymets1987
I wonder if we see the CAP go away this year.
-
@Ryan92780
Well that looks promising... maybe you can grind out a 99 Jeter from day 1. The only way to get his best card last year was via collection so this is a great feature for 24. It would be cool if this program led to a Captain card boosted other cards.
