Other than cross saves for when it becomes multiplatform next year.
I think it'd be cool to have a trophyroom to see all your awards and stuff...
and Some off field events could be cool as well.

That's a great question, I would say:
- return of the ball trails from 19, so you can actually distinguish the ball from the infield dirt when you're playing 3B
- also from 2019, show a few more balls traveling down the line, even if they go foul, geez add a little suspense
- better judgment on pitcher relief so the manager doesn't freak out when you're up 2-1 and somebody gets a bloop single on you in the 7th
- allow you to contact your agent when times get really tough
- allow you the option of letting the AI manage your running when you get on-base, I find that difficult and tedious; in the alternative, eliminate the huge lag when changing directions in the baseline.
- add real game accomplishments to Events & Awards, like 4 HRs in one game, Perfect Games and No-Hitters
I agree with most of these things.
It can be hard to see the ball sometimes.
Baserunning can make you go what? sometimes.
Needs to be an option for the reverse side. To Turn off all the assists on it too. I don't have a problem with it, but My Roomate does some how. It always makes him advance on fly balls, and he cant make it back in time and other stuff.
Number 4 would be nice to. A new tab for Agent could be helpful. that way you could talk to him when ever you wanted. (Request Trade/Release/ Position Change Etc)
oh and Add Cycles, Allstar game MVP, Derby Champ etc. to this list as well
Oh and Going back to my Previous post.
I don't know how they could implement this
but Some way to Challenge calls the ump makes would be cool.
Or some other ways you could get ejected if you have it on.
(hear me out. I know you're like why would I want this? isn't the point of RTTS to be like an rpg? Things like Charging the mound after being beaned. and A bench clearing fiasco would ensue. Stuff like this could be pretty cool. Or something like The Ump Blew a Call that resulted in You being struck out/ giving a walk. in a crucial situation.
I know most these probably wouldn't happen but its fun to imagine.
a multiplayer RTTS mode could be fun too.
think of an at least 18 player lobby where everyone can use their created player at their position. Sounds really fun.

agree with you all. RTTS needs to be updated. some of us enjoy the showcase to see where we can be drafted and playing RTTS. hope they really look into this soon. been a fan from day one and own every copy. this game can be the best ever if they tweak things that players are interested in and listen. when we did beta this year they should of had RTTS in there so we could see it before release.
Next year is it for me. DD is ok to [censored] around with. I never play online. I'm 100% solo player. There is so much they could do with that mode. But EA, sorry SDS doesn't. They focus on their cash cow.
I'd love to see a co op type thing. My buddy gets drafted by X team. I get drafted by a different team. When our teams play each other, we face off. How about adding a real story mode, let us hire an agent, sign deals, make social media actually have some value. Look at 2k NBA then look at this. Its laughable. Even QB1 on Madden has more features I think.
I think they've locked you into the later rounds since 18.
I remember playing 16 and got a 1st overall pick.
A real story mode would indeed be really awesome. especially with our year to year saves.
Interaction with the media in post game interviews when your team wins a big game/series etc. or you passed a mile stone. would all be awesome.
It would be cool to see other stuff in there too like you see on tv sometimes with the Crazy Bench clearing brawls with a bitter rivals after they've plunked you and your time for the Nth time this series.
Sure you'll be ejected and probably suspended if you were an instigator. but The immersion would be unparalleled.
The only issue I have with the 2K storymode is the progression is too Grindy in an effort to force you to by mtx.
They've Locked you into what you can make ever since The SHow 18.
I was first over all in the show 16.
but When I actually got a ps4 and played for real on 18
THey locked you to the later rounds no mater how well you did
(i.e. 27th round or later)
I tried a new player in 19 and I Came to the conclusion that the Highest you can get is 15th round first pick.
I haven't gotten the show 20 yeah, but From what you're saying it sounds like it's done the same.
My roommate and I share this, and I'm not even joking when I counted to Ten consecutive pick off attempts the pitcher made. It get crazy at a certain point. especially when you have to hold back on the stick to even have a chance of being safe.
@ThaGhettoBlasta said in What improvements do you want to see in RTTS for MLB The Show 21?:
Turn off the 20 day rainstorms that follow you. Other than that I love RTTS as is.
It's funny how it always talks about their might be rain delays but it never happens
I got Drilled in the [censored] one game.
but I have max durabillity. so I soldiered on to first base.
Ah that's a shame on the Fights.
NHL has them lol.
(But that's besides the point. I just thought that'd sound cool, In Idea At least.)
Being able to interact with fans would be really cool, if they could work it out.
Like an example could be You're on the corners (1B 3B etc) and your going near the stands, and maybe catch a foul ball. Then you could give it to them or something.
tbh I like The current system of progression.
I started with 16, but I didn't know what to do in the points and how to use them, so I kinda quit it.
But when 18 came out with the then "New" I liked how it was a lot simpler, and have been playing since.
Maybe there can be both.
You could have a menu in the options where you could choose how you want your progression to be.
The Current (or Casual I guess could be another name) would be the 18- to present way.
And Classic (or Advanced) could be the Old system.
I'm not sure yet if it would be Pick this at the start of your character in rtts and you cant change it,o or if you could change it when you wanted.
Yeah I hope so too. I basically only use my music any way.
The default music is usually terrible any way.
They Talked about it when I Came close to, Tied, and broke Dimaggio's Hit Streak of 57 games.
And For Most HRs in a season.
Maybe it's just selective?

I don't remember if I ever had any career enders in MLB the Show, but I always remember how wacky MVP Baseball 2004's injuries were. You'd see things like
Jim Thome - Broken Neck (Day to day)
Juan Pierre - Sprained Thumb (60 day DL)

I'm sorry but I lost it at broken neck (day to day)
Eh, quit being a pansy it's just a sore neck. Walk it off!

Curious to know what your thoughts are.
It was in the show 16 but you were able to see career earnings. That’s something that I would like to see brought back
it was never removed. it just moved to the Stats & Awards section.
I looked at it today on 20.
but I would like to see Cross Saves like how modern Warfare does it. For when the show goes cross platform soon.
And I want to be able to earn Team Affinity for the team I'm playing on in RTTS. I don't like how that's a Diamond Dynasty thing.
And Thirdly. I would like to be able to carry my equipment to the next game. I had the pure power bat skin in 19, but I don't know how to get it for twenty. it gave it to me when I hit 99 power I think. Plus there are scalpers in The Market. I'm gonna spend 30k stubs on it.
The Baseball cards for DD I can understand on having to get again, but we should be able to keep our equipment.
@pogibana said in More story aspects in RTTS:
I want to play baseball. So far everything that SDS has added with story lines (social media, agent, personality, etc) has been terrible so I personally don't want anymore. I would rather have it like it was 10 years ago. JUST PLAY BASEBALL!!!
Then why are you even playing a story mode?
@Arlest14 said in MLB The Show ‘21 Wishlist:
First-person view of:
Baserunning, Base stealing:
Let player to experience the sound of your cleats plowing on the dirt; tough decision to make in tenth of a second (head-first slide? or hook slide?), Hearing umpires yelling at you! ( YOU'RE OUT!!) maybe SPEED BLUR VISION when fast players accelerate to top speed...etc.Pitching on the mound:
The HISSING sound of baseball seams collide with air molecules, the LOUD POPPING sound of your fireball slamming in catcher's mitt, some options or perks to intimidate/ provoke hitters (verbal? or guts pose?)Fielding:
Imagine to finish all kinds of highlight plays in first-person view. Maybe they can merge Showtime opportunity in fist-person view.Hitting:
Tough to implement in first-person view. But it would be great to feel as being a powerful slugger. The whiff sound of a power swing;
Smacking balls squarely (This has already been done in current version, which is GREAT). The sudden change of camera angle panning when you slammed a Moon-shot...etc.
woah this would be pretty great if they could work it out, and it looked good. There is a big difference in just thrown together first person, and well Crafted 1PoV.
I'd use it.

From the FAQ
No, Year to year saves will not be supported in MLB The Show 21. We don’t have anything to share about the feature’s future, but we’re aware of its popularity in the community.
Thank you for the Reply, Colin.
Tbh this was the only thing that kept me interested in getting the game yearly. So Sadly I probably wont be getting 21 unless something changes.
@Red_Ted_is_back said in How does this make you feel about no Y2Y saves in MLB The Show 21?:
It will be back, probably in 22.
Hope It'd be able to continue from 20.
Highly unlikely. I’d bet my house on it.
well that's kinda sad.
I guess i'll be sticking with 20 from now on.
I might get 21 on a deep deep discount just to see what's up, but if y2y is gone for good then yeah I don't see a point of buying it yearly anymore.
It's the same reason for the other sport games.
@pogibana said in Is there a reason to move to The Show 21?:
I am tired of them making RTTS worse rather then better. I am out this time. I have purchased this game every year since 2009 but no more. It is not worth it anymore.
Same but since 18
I've been playing my SP and 3B since then, and they've built a pretty big career so far.
I don't play it enough to warrant starting over yearly
Especially how I'd never get out of my rookie contract by the years end.
Since you're eligible for free agency after 6 seasons.
I maybe at best play a season and a half or two in a year.
I'm on my 8th on those.
Really Dumb tbh.
It was the main attraction of this series to me.
