@bleachfro_MLBTS nope…. I’m hoping the first few Game Updates we receive come with a lot of newly added or updated scans but it’s hard to tell. The lack of what we got off rip this year is beyond underwhelming. But they were consistent last year with adding them in during the season so I’ll hold out some hope for that.

@Sarge1387_PSN it is to some but not to all. Nothing you have to concern yourself with if it doesn’t pertain to you. Plenty of people I enjoy communicating with that want the game to be as authentic as possible. And face scans apply directly to that and give certain fans more satisfaction when playing the game. Mostly offline grinders who play franchise are whom this would apply towards. Most of your fan base that forks up money into DD or grinds online don’t care at all about what players look like to an extent.

Very underwhelming way to kick the year off with newly added & updated face scans. They definitely had much higher priorities for this year’s game and that’s completely fine. Hopefully we get plenty added in via each game update like we did last year.

Face scan is still the glitched scan even after the update this morning….

@Shua2168_MLBTS I love how some time ago you’re on here saying you’re done with the game and done posting on here. I’ve never in all my years seen so much complaining from one account. Just accept the game for what it is and control what you can control. I get that it sucks certain scans aren’t added or updated each year but they’re making some pretty evident efforts this year and last. THEY CAN’T ADD A FACE SCAN IF A PLAYER DOESN’T WANT TO BE SCANNED. You after all these months and complaints and responses just can’t seem to get that through your head. Accept the fact that player scans won’t be added unless these players go to SDS and get scanned in or SDS comes to them during Spring Training. I mean it genuinely must be exhausting to spend all of your free time on here crying and complaining about stuff that obviously isn’t at the top of their priority list. Could they do better with it? Sure. Would I love to see more scans added and see the game as authentic as possible? Of course I would.

Since the game has released just non stop posts throwing hissy fits about face scans. Trust me, I do care about this stuff just as much as you do. But my god, give it a rest PLEASE. Assuming you’re a grown adult, find something better to do in your free time then complain and cry about things SDS doesn’t do right. You have every choice in the world to quit buying the game that you seem to hate and ridicule so much. Whether you genuinely do love the game deep down or not you clearly are never satisfied so you’re stupid to continue to put money in their pockets if the game isn’t meeting your own personal standards.

I don’t disagree as far as what they prioritize and what they care about. It’s the same for every sports gaming company. They care only about micro transactions and you spending more and more money on the game post release.

Them having the DD cards updated with new pictures means nothing. They still have to get the players to come in for scans and the players have to want to do it. If you had modding capabilities on PS5 you’d see much more authentic player creations for players that don’t have scans like you see on NBA 2K for PC for example. My biggest complaint would be why do the new scans not get uploaded until the following year’s game. Never made sense to me. You get a bunch of players added in or updated in ST 25’ but why do those scans have to wait until MLB 26’.. just makes no sense

3/28 roster update wasn’t much of anything, nor the opening day roster we have all been waiting for. But I did come across all of the stuff listed above. It’s possible that mostly all of this came on 3/28. It’s also possible that some came through between then and last night. I finally had the time to do some digging last night after work.

Only really responding since I’m a Pirates fan. Hair length could be updated since it’s longer now but other than that it’s solid.

@Shua2168_MLBTS Johan Oviedo’s scan is brand new as of last year. Scan was added into their database February of 2023. Added into the game last season a little after release.
