Let me start by saying, I have purchased MLBTS every year since 03 and while my yearly hours have regressed since 17, this sports franchise is still so head and shoulders above the rest. Every time I sign on here, it's (unsurprisingly) filled with complaints. While this is far from perfect, if you have played any other sports franchise within the last 4 years and you still hate this game, go F yourself kindly.

Content:
Even the gripers know this isn't close anywhere else. Not just in quantity, but quality. Moving on.

Gameplay:
Easily the low hanging fruit here. Have you played Madden lately tho? NBA 2k is similar but has equally game breaking issues.

Devs:
If you think these guys don't try to cater to the crowd, you literally don't play any other video games. Including all other genres.

I don't care what your response is. This sports franchise leads all today and it isn't close.

TLDR; bring back knuckleballers. The regulars who complain daily deserve more pain amd it would help break up the meta a little.

Feels like my heart was ripped out today with the dismantling of the Cubs. It feels like a breakup. I know it won't work, but I just want them back so bad. Started a franchise and simmed a year with updated rosters. Bryant and Rizzo ended up together in San Francisco. Javy Baez was signed to the White Sox. Kimbrel went back to Atlanta. For some reason this fictitious ending gave me peace. I'll be drinking lots of whiskey and watching 2016 games. Can't ever remember a team being sold out so bad. I knew it was coming but sheesh. Thought I'd at least have Rizzo or Baez at the end of the day. Cheers to all my fellow Cubs fans, today was as much a blood bath as the red wedding in Game of Thrones.

I put down $50 on him last minute on FD at +1600 odds to win it all.

Looking at your history, you dominate Cabrera. Any tips for hitting him? Patterns? Strategies? I'd take all the help I can get against Cabrera.

Down butnin super weird ways I've never seen before. I was getting server timeout messages that kept popping up while I was in game I had to click off. Now when starting the game it is saying it can't load my saved data. Seems like a MASSIVE outage of the entire PSN network.

Dear SDS,
As a Cubs fan I am asking you to please give us a 99 MVP Kris Bryant card as an inning boss tomorrow. Reasons listed below:

1. The obvious, KB is getting traded in the next 24 hours. This devastates me and it will be our last chance to use him as a Cub moving forward with the exception of a rare flashback.
2. We are also going to lose Rizzo in the next 24 hours, likely to Boston. Rizzo and more specifically Bryzzo, were the heart and soul of this team for the last 6 years.
3. We are about to launch into a rebuild and if I know this team, it will be an unknown amount of time until they compete again. They are the lovable losers for a reason. Wrigley will always sell out, regardless of team talent, because it is the biggest bar in America.

For all of these reasons, please give us Cub fans one last hurrah. It will help ease the pain as our team is picked over by teams like a vulture and a carcass in the dessert.

This thread is ridiculous. OP is complaining about 2 different offline grind mission types and its not enough still. Basically the post reads "please give me endless conquest maps and let me mindlessly drone against the CPU to obtain any card I want."

This sounds a lot like the "lag switch" 5 years ago. Whether it's real or not, it's enough for me to turn off cross play with XBOX. I just can't get into the mind of somebody who uses this. It's like cheating in a game of poker that you play with your family for M&Ms.

I kind of agree. The only thing I can't understand is why these cards are on par with finest cards. Where do we go from here? What does the end game look like?

TA2 was pretty perfect, it was harder and a few chase cards that could last a while but nothing absurd. But these cards are just too good to give away to everyone so easily. And I'm totally no money spent so it's not like I'm salty about having spent money for worse cards.

It's not like these cards are insane or anything, you could even make the case that only Degrom is clearly better than other options, but still with a couple parallels these are all 99s and what will be on every single team as a bare minimum. Just seems a little silly to give everyone a full team of 99s for nothing and we're only at the all star break.

Yeah I'm left kind of wondering how the next cards can be better. They would either need to be basically maxed out stats or absolute fan favorites that people will shell out for regardless.

I should have been more specific, I meant Juan Soto, not Greg Soto. Although Greg Soto is a monster too. He is a LH Cabrera out of the pen. I have em both.

I picked up 10 of the Prince Fielder cards yesterday. We are at bottom, this seems like a low risk, high reward proposition. Even if it goes t*ts up you can recoop half with quick sells.

So they are talking about this story rn on Chicago sports radio and hopefully it isn't as ominous as they are worried it could/might be. Nobody including family has seen Yermin since the post. Apparently his tweet was lyrics to a song called Yo Retiro which is apparently a pretty depressing song. Chicago media who was close with him his whole career can't get in contact with him. Fwiw the people on the radio are also confused as to why he retired because he clearly is talented enough to make a roster and he was mashing in AAA during his send down. 670 The Score on audacy if anyone is interested.

Watched the Woodstock '99 documentary on HBO last night (an awesome watch btw, check it out) and it got me super nostalgic for that time period. Besides the obvious sluggers (Sosa, McGuire, Bonds...) what early 2000's stars would you like to see that aren't in the game this year. For me:

And I just watched Moneyball for the 100th time, so I'd like to create a theme team with Eric Byrnes, Eric Chavez, Jermaine Dye, and Scott Hatteberg (with 0 Defense and 0 Arm Strength) to go along with the new David Justice.
