Bro... I swear people just don't know! LEGEND has always been where it's at!! You may not get those line drives or right of tip of the bat hits people get with that trash PCI but when you learn how to actually hit or pitch the baseball, MLB THE SHOW becomes addicting! Especially user vs user.. If only they'd grow some baseballs and come to the big leagues to see what it's like.. Legend Difficulty is by far the most realistic experience! Ps.. BATTLE ROYALE should have never been thought of! Admit it Sony Sandiego, the mode sucks and you guys managed to trick people into playing it lol

Well that would be disappointing. Not really fun playing in a league with people playing with the same exact players as you have.

You can format it in a way that nobody has the same roster/players. There are several basic rules that just about all OFM leagues follow and I'm sure this would become one of them if true.

The problem is you'd have no scouting no trades no players declining which would take the whole point of an online franchise league (key word FRANCHISE) pointless

Understood BUT it's better than nothing... We've been playing OFM since 2016 ( almost 4 years ) and people are spent my guy.. If this gives us ANY sense of hope that they have something in store for NEXT GEN then I'm in.. Even if there's some sort of paywall! Guys may need to do without the fantasy for a year or so and just play with their favorite teams without the ownership aspect of it.. What if those MLB THE SHOW 21 launch title rumors are true? I'm pretty sure they've been working on the next generation of MLB THE SHOW for years which is probably one of the reasons they're looking to cash out with it on XBOX.. THATS A GOOD SIGN RIGHT THERE!! I'm just glad they even mentioned anything about a league and I'm grateful but I'm still not preordering until I find out what exactly this is.. Excruciating but necessary!!

It is probably some type of league mode that you can play with friends and make it similar to OF.
Yeah, I got that impression too buddy... Sounds just about what OFM was but I'd be more than excited to have that back knowing that next gen MLB THE SHOW might continue and progress in ways we've always dreamed off!! Man, someone please answer this question! I'm ready to preorder and I'm ready to start recruiting:)

nah ima guess its some watered down league where you play one season and have to restart. they wont bring back online franchise bc they need to herd all the online players into their lootbox/pack micro transactions mode that is DD. i havent bought the game since the show 17 bc they took out online franchise....got it for free this year with psn sub and litreally played like 4-5 games of DD and got bored of it facing every team with the exact same 99 rated players.

Exactly!!! That's exactly what I think.. It's a small sample size until next gen when we can expect Sony Sandiego to blow the roof off all of MLB THE SHOW modes.. Well they better. Especially taking on the the Xbox community lol.... I also believe it's going to useful for the time being considering they may be shutting 17 servers off pretty soon! Just my hypothesis as well!

Exactly... But then you have people who'll swear up and down that it's more difficult when using that piece of [censored]... Like, why would you want that on your screen anyway! Even the strike zone... All of that should be off by default on HOF and Legend difficulty settings! In vice versa on the other side of the field! I would love for an toggle on and off for CUSTOM LEAGUES!! Guys that caught, have to stream every game in my league or face repercussions!! Play the game like it's supposed to be played and leave the handholders for kids that want to learn how to play!

Youre OLD SCHOOL and so am I... I've talked with hundreds of people over the years about this very subject alone and it's safe to say that we all know why people who use the PCI use it.. There's no argument there and trust me when I say that those guy will argue which is sad!! If there was a PCI on my broadcast games IRL I'd go back to the radio!! There's no reason why anybody over the age of 25 would adapt to this play style. They're is no satisfaction and I would argue one might not have any self respect for himself or the game if you'd go through an entire offline FRANCHISE season using these options.. If you are using anything other that HOF or LEGEND ( sliders are a given ) you just flat out suck in general!! The game should be played like Chess and there's no room for FLUFF tools with this game being as beautiful as it is... I'm with you and so are ton of others! The PCI is for SCRUBS!!! Hands down..

There’s NO reason why I shouldn’t be able to use a pitching or broadcast camera view from my hitting perspective in CUSTOM LEAGUES when cheesy/repetitive players can get easy/handicap hits in ZOOM angles!
