In the settings under sound presets I just set mine to "On the Field." Then you can't hear them.

I just put in a ticket for the same. For me though, I pressed Triangle to help me decide which card to pick, then Circled out and picked the card, but it gave me a different one, with no prompt to "Submit Selection." I just wish I knew what the turnaround time is on support tickets.

Twitter, forums, bah. How hard would it be to have an alert/banner in the actual game (ya know, the thing their players are paying attention to at the time if the maintenance is going to affect them)?

Came here to say exactly the same thing.
It's bad enough I get disconnected at random intervals, but making me lose Showdown moments just because I got disconnected is garbage.
I was on the final Showdown this time as well.
