I actually think 20 looked better. They messed up the lighting, night games are dark in most stadiums and lighting looks weird. The beautiful lighting inside of domes during day games is gone now. Skin textures look bad on a lot of players. Feels like and unfinished game. So many weird little glitches and issues and the lighting just kills the experience.

I was wrong. This game is beautiful and amazing. I had to make some adjustments to the settings on my TV, mostly to the color weirdly enough, and when I did the game just popped. It looks better than it ever has.

The game looks and plays amazing. It does look slightly upgraded on next gen. The lighting looks great, the face scans are incredible, the environment, the field and dirt look amazing. It’s never looked and played that’s great. There are a bunch of little bugs, and other things like sounds of the show being removed that suck. I highly recommend getting it. And I’ve played this game yearly since 2008. I’m sure they will have the sever issues figured out in time.

I tried signing up for them. The problem is they only took a small amount of Xbox users. But let’s be real here. Every year they have server issues. This year is by far the worst it has been. You can’t play for more than 10 minutes without it booting you.

That’s not the problem. If you sign up for the tech test you get to participate in the tech test. It’s not a lottery. I’m sure part of the problem is the unexpected load of all the game pass people.

Probably, hopefully, but they probably won’t give us XP back. Which is lame.

The show arguably has the best face scans of any sports game.

Yeah I couldn’t find it either. Still can download rosters. This is lame.

Yeah it’s so weird to because most of the time the lighting looks amazing, it’s just some stadiums at night or dark, from what I’ve seen all of the city skylines are completely blacked out at night and in some stadiums regardless of night or day some of the light up signs and scoreboards are dark. But most of the time the lighting is great. Hopefully they can patch this.

I made some changes to my tv settings, particularly the color settings and it looks so much better. The dark lighting and some stadiums at eight is still there, but the game looks a lot better overall

Also the stadiums and environments look beautiful. Every year this game releases its best versions hopefully we can get more attention to franchise mode soon.

Great job with this game. The gameplay is amazing player scans look incredible, animations are great and I really love the direction we’re headed in with batting stances and pitching motions. Some of the lighting in night stadiums is too low and the city skylines are completely dark at night but the lighting overall is beautiful. The new equipment is so cool. Really impressed with the game this year. The more I play I’m really starting to see the “next gen” stuff and I’m very happy. Thanks for making an amazing baseball game.

Player skin textures are also really flat. I don’t know if that’s due to the lighting. But they looked better in 20.

Its not the hdr. The skylines are completely dark during night games and Half of the lights are out in a lot of stadiums. Go play a night game in Minnesota go look at the skyline and stadium lights in Washington during a night game. The lighting is broken. The beautiful lighting inside of dome stadium’s during afternoon games is gone.

15 hours later still can’t download rosters.

Yeah they screwed the lighting up this year. Really sucks.

Myself and a bunch of others are unable to download rosters from the vault. Haven’t been able to at any point since game went live. Every time I get the message “something went wrong”

Some help with this would be great

Will Sounds of the show be in ‘21?

We talked about some of the other next-gen items such as the Narrative Videos in a previous feature premiere and it has been mentioned in interviews that textures and models both for players and environments are higher on next-gen consoles. Audio on next-gen consoles is also at a higher bitrate, thus providing a higher quality and clarity on next-gen platforms.

Can we expect to see any gameplay between now and release?
