Yes. Thats how they did it going into season 2. I havent played Classic since then so for all we know, they could have changed it and just not told anyone about it.

Not necessarily true. Look at Camilo Duval finest card released in season 3 or the Bo Bichette headliner. Both of those were 2023 finest cards. Why can’t we have a Burnes as well?

Because both of those players are still on their teams Burnes isn't

Aaron Loup has a 2021 Finest card with the Mets but he played for the Angels after 2021.
Retro finest are used in situations where sds didn’t issue a finest card in that year. Like the Robbie Ray 2021 retro finest card. A newly created finest card based on Ray’s 2021 season. Corbin Burnes has a finest card from last year they would not need to create a retro finest for his 2023 finest.

Yeah, I logged on to check to see if there was anything claimable and I probably wont play all week since there is nothing new. I finished extreme last week.

This year really was tailored to people with limited time to play only (from an offline perspective at least) with not much for people wanting to put more than an hour a day into the game.

The lack of mini seasons meant to be completed multiple times really hurt the game for me this year.

I got him to P2 which I'm the 72nd person to get him there. I will take that considering it's my 1st time ever placing in the top 100 since I started playing this game back in September of 22

I got down to my last 2 outs vs. Greinke, but it was kind of easy overall. The pitchers are all righty, except Framber. I still took the 'first' 99 Mark Vientos on the squad, who won 2 rounds at Citi Field with no-doubters. Go figure!
If you get it, take the Diamond Vision perk, not the Shea Stadium one 😜, along with the exit velocity ones.
Most pitchers throw meatballs, so you should be good. If you can get Goodrum, take him! He's still top 10 card in the game imo.
It's 9 rounds, so keep that in mind.

I really thought we might get a few more HOF cards. But oh well

And for some reason most diamond cards are barely above minimum.

That's right 2 cards out of 30 can receive the boost for 90+ arm strength.

Only Joey Gallo and James McCann.

The one that kills me is Troy Glaus. They gave him 89 arm strength. Seems on purpose.

If you count the bonus ones; you can include Trout and Belli. Plus if you can afford him; Soriano counts.

In my opinion; the 30 TA cards are collection fodder to get you all three Set 3 99s and Belli/Trout.

NONE make my current team better.

But it may be fun running a lineup with just Finest players in it.

It would've been nice to either make one of the Collect hitters and one of the Collect pitchers, or include one of each in the Collection, Finest Captains.

I think gagne and eck make alot of teams.

Intangibles to look at...
Conquest and Mini Seasons - 3 innings...I can put up 30-40 runs in a CPU nine inning game consistently which is an average of 3.75-5 runs an inning. (I'm PS5 so I'm playing home games at Costco and only getting 8 innings at the plate) While i can do the same thing playing conquest and mini season...I can't do that as consistently. It's more like 4-9 runs a game.

Mini Seasons are also against User Built Teams (Classic) or Game Generated Squads that are significantly better than the Colorado Rockies...So you're facing tougher competition so to speak.

Play vs. CPU - 9 Inning games that can take a lot longer to play.

Here's what I do know...I've hit the cap 2 or 3 times. Every time has happened when I've been grinding CPU games for Stats. Not Conquest or Mini Seasons.

@ArGenTin32_XBL bro, I had that same thing happen three times. By far and away the most aggressive attacking in a CQ I’ve ever seen. I’m over 40 rounds and not done yet. I’ve had to beat two strongholds on HOF cuz I’m so sick of the cpu attacking. It’s just very bizarre.

Second, I'm still wondering if the thumb grips would help directional/meter players even slightly.

Yeah restarting my console today worked. I never got the PxP I should have gotten, but I just finished the program anyway.

@dbub_PSN only used in conquest on AS difficulty so far (I’ve only just found the Nation of Baseball one with the uniform rewards!) and he’s been dynamite, so thank you! The 80+ speed is a sneaky little benefit I wasn’t expecting too!
