Give me Koufax, Steve Sax ( I know I’m the only guy who wants him), and Lincecum.
I'll second Sax along with Garvey, Guerrero, and Dusty.

Doing that one now, both times failed after I struck out 3 consecutive batters and ended the inning.
I was exaggerating on the time to finish a conquest game (just had a frustrating gaming session, lol). I've just noticed it takes about double the time to play now due to METER pitching being horrible and the many (millions!) foul offs. I have tried PP and the others, but I just dont like it (so, its a me issue to a degree), but shouldn't they all allow basically the same results given the same input. The more I think about it, the more I think I do like the hitting this year, too many dingers in previous years and I'd rather get basic hits personally, but the cpu defense is out of this world unrealistic and it is there where I think the issue is that I have.
I'd be ok with the current program if they fixed the gameplay aspects. I like the pxp aspect, would prefer a team like program over pxp, but whatever, it's not bad. Hitting is terrible, also hate the perfect/perfect out (fouls, dbl plays, etc), and am really tired of pitching in the double digits to each batter half the time. I want to enjoy the game of baseball, I want to get a hit IDC if its a dinger, but I dont want to pitch for 2 hours for a couple conquest games.
They are really good, but I personally prefer Hershiser and Davis
I have come across the exact same issues as OP. Debating if I want to try out PP again, currently dont care for it.

I play the online modes once in a while (Events and BR) but I have a career job and just don’t have the time to invest into ranked seasons. That means I play the single player modes the majority of the time - including RTTS.
As of right now, not including a few of the gold and diamond programs in RTTS, I’ve already completed everything available for the offline modes. The game is so boring right now that I’ve even completed every Conquest map.
To make matters worse, the game doesn’t feel rewarding. Out of the 37 Live Series diamond players available at the moment, I have exactly 4 of them — and 1 card was purchased on the marketplace. Given that I’ve completed all of the “Other Programs” (except Stages 2 and 3 of the April Series, of course), all of the Showdowns, the Conquest maps and 3 full Mini Seasons, you can imagine how many packs I’ve opened along the way. I’ve even played the Mystery Conquest map about 15-20 extra times because it’s a quick and easy way to get 5 The Show packs for free.
Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t remember the game being so boring and unrewarding when The Show 21 was released. I know it’s early but something needs to change. The odds say we have a 1 in 50 pack chance to get a diamond player but that’s a load of bullsh*t! On one occasion, I opened 108 packs before I pulled a diamond player and I’m currently on 86 packs without a diamond pull. On top of that, out of all the Ballin’ is a Habit packs I’ve opened - I’m still sitting at 1 diamond player from those packs and 0 diamond pulls from Headliners packs.
When you combine all of this with the many lazy-assed copied and pasted card images from The Show 21, I’m really disappointed in the replayability and the lack of effort put into the game.
At the very least, they could give offline players a replayable Showdown like they finally added last year so we can earn cards for winning and sell them for stubs on the marketplace.
Sorry for the length … I don’t comment very often but wanted to vent a bit.
1000% yes, but I'd like add an additional word to describe my current experience and that word is "Frustrating". So, Boring, Unrewarding, and Frustrating. I'm currently debating shelving this atm. MTO is the only area where I see an improvement this year, imo the gameplay, grind, and rewards went waaaay downward. I'm still holding out hope that they make some gameplay changes before I just decide to stop playing this year, and that will effect if I will purchase future titles. I will say though, the simulation is like the real MLB this year.. deadball. But, as a game it just isnt fun to play that way.
What difficulty are you playing these conquest games on? I think it's pretty easy personally. I only started playing conquest this year for the first time. I've never lost a conquest game, except for the first one I ever did.
About 90% of the time its on veteran, I dont have an issue with losing (I'm not that good at it either, tbh) but the issue is the frustrating gameplay like I mentioned above. I just wish they'd adjust a Perfect/Perfect to be what the dictionary classifies as Perfect... Which is Perfect, a perfect ball can't be caught, fouled off, or hit into a double play.. That wouldnt be classified as perfect hit, I just dont get their definition of what the word perfect means to them. I can live with this really, but it really comes down to pitching for me, i just cant stand all my pitches drifting center mass when my release was very good. It's not like it happens every once in a while, it happens to almost every batter. I've had pitch counts go to 15+ a lot of the times lately, pitcher tires too fast with it like this and I cannot pull him due to the three batter rule, so I know im going to get lit up. I dunno, just me complaining I guess. I just wish they'd adjust some things.
Funny you say this, because I've the same feeling. I dont play online, only offline. A three-inning conquest game takes way too long now (loss of pitch accuracy is too high, foul tips galore) and the overall feeling of frustration when it comes to cpu dotting me up, diving outfield catches, over the wall catches, the many, many pop-ups, and the perfect-perfect outs/fouls. I played previous years and it was fun, this year just isnt doing it for me, feels more like a second job and takes up way too much of my time. Just feel like they over "balanced" things this year too much. It took away the fun factor for me and moved it into a more frustration type of game. I have better things to do.
If you don't see that it needs tweaking you're mistaken. On average throughout professional pitching the strike to ball ratio is around 65 percent. This game I'd wager a guess it's closer to 35-40 percent. Moments that I have to get done.. more like 20 percent, lol.
I enjoy the game (MLB and TheShow), never been much on 'challenge' gameplay. All last year I played on rookie, this year mostly on Veteran. Personally, for me, it's easier and a lot more enjoyable.
The accuracy of the Jansen card is true to life. Hits against him everytime, I stopped using him completely, however Will Smith is doing wonders for me.
I'm an idiot... found the spot above the Mariners.. gah, thanks all.
Thanks for the suggestion, I have already changed my teams colors to see if I missed something. Heck, I even reinforced all tiles to 2 to double check, lol.
Yeah, everything else worked as advertised. Proceed with caution?
Yeah, I did, all 15
{FIXED}
Not bugged, user error
