In which season was it a feature? I don't recall anything like that in MLB 19.

“Almost, Matty. Almost went deep his last AB.....”
D Ro, I popped out to Short last at bat. Calm down, man.

It means you need to use the pitching interface/minigame properly to release the pitch on time.
Depending on what pitching interface you're using, you need to time the execution of the pitch perfectly. On Analog and Meter, this means you need to time the point at which you release the pitch so that it's on the line/target. For Pulse, it means you need to press the button when the circle is as small as possible. You don't need to be "perfect", but you can't be way off.
If you're using directional pitching (or whatever it's called), the challenge is useless to you because there's no minigame to time properly.

I made a topic about this and someone told me it's a glitch.
Glad to see that I'm not going crazy.

Really? I'll have to look into that.

Good suggestions, thanks.

Okay, I thought it was just me. I've been tearing my hair out the last couple of days trying to figure out why I can't hit a [censored] thing all of a sudden.

No, don't do that.
When you're in AA, your coach will automatically tell you they're moving your position for a while. You HAVE to do it. If you tell him you don't want you, you will get benched.
Unless your character was performing very badly in your original role, they will move you back eventually.
I don't know why some people in this thread told otherwise. Maybe they're just trolling the new guy.

I've noticed a recurring problem in this game and I just want to know if it's just me, if I'm missing something, or if everyone else has noticed the same thing.
Namely, checking swings seems to be extremely inconsistent in RTTS 20. I've noticed that there are times when I literally just lightly press a swing button (even Contact) and my batter goes into a full swing animation and there are other times when I hold the thing down and release at the last possible second and still somehow manage to check. It drives me crazy, because I have a tendency to start swinging at something I see in the middle of the plate and then hold up if I notice that it breaks. But this check inconsistency completely throws me off because I'm instead forced to commit to either sitting offspeed or swinging for the fences.
Anybody else having this same problem?

Yeah, my guy is a Pure Power hitter who also got drafted by Detroit. Absolutely dominated in AA and got called up to Detroit so fast that I never even got a call from my agent.
He's been the Batting Champion for 3 years running (and would have won in his first year if he had the prerequisite ABs). But none of his production at the plate matters because for every 2-3 runs he produces per game, the pitching staff gives up three times that. So we end up with games where we lose 13-4 where my guy was responsible for 3 quarters of their offense.
The worst was when we went from winning like 5-0 and then lost 20-5 in the late innings. That was a real WTF.
