Full Swings on Checks
-
I've noticed a recurring problem in this game and I just want to know if it's just me, if I'm missing something, or if everyone else has noticed the same thing.
Namely, checking swings seems to be extremely inconsistent in RTTS 20. I've noticed that there are times when I literally just lightly press a swing button (even Contact) and my batter goes into a full swing animation and there are other times when I hold the thing down and release at the last possible second and still somehow manage to check. It drives me crazy, because I have a tendency to start swinging at something I see in the middle of the plate and then hold up if I notice that it breaks. But this check inconsistency completely throws me off because I'm instead forced to commit to either sitting offspeed or swinging for the fences.
Anybody else having this same problem?

My main frustration is the perfect pitch down the middle, I mash the X button and... my guy has a "perfect timing" check swing. I have that happen more than I'd like.

I have NOT experienced this issue. I would actually say that I check my swing very often and VERY seldom it does not work (to be honest, I think my success rate should be lower, as this is not easy to pull off in real life).
2 Ideas: Not sure of the player stance/swing animation you have chosen may have something to do with it, maybe worth trying to change and see if it's better and also, gamepad buttons wear out over time (or may be glitchy), if you are playing with a well-used gamepad, it may be time to get a new one.

Good suggestions, thanks.

Really? I'll have to look into that.
