@chuckcold
Do NOT spend any stubs, Do NOT collect (lock in) any players.
Build your team around high diamonds & 'No Sell' cards that can't be bought or sold on market.
Grind Blake Snell Player Program & create sell orders for the 3 diamond players you receive to get a good base (~50K) of stubs. (again DO NOT collect any players, you don't actually need Snell, just the stubs.)
Grind Jackie Robinson Player Program for ~30 packs, more stubs, plus "No Sell" 94 All Star Legend Jackie Robinson card for your squad.Choose 93 CP Dennis Eckersley or 90 OF Carlos Gonzalez from Evolution Player Pack & grind that out for it to become a 'No Sell' diamond located in XP Reward Path
Choose 85 SS Adalberto Mondesi, then 86 RP Charlie Morton from Classic Choice pack in XP Reward Path (no sell)
Conquest to grind missions, Jackie Robinson, & for stubs, xp & packs
Create sell orders, don't quick sell.. any diamond you pull from any pack.
Showdowns give you vouchers for Team Affinity grind.. find a couple high diamond players from Stage 2 so you don't have to go to the Market & splurge on players.. I would go for Reds 95 overall SP Nick Lodolo & Cardinals 95 overall 3B Nolan Gorman for example (all 'No Sell')
Grind Monthly Awards program for 3 more high diamonds for your squad..
97 overall Cody Bellinger, 95 overall Carlos Correa & 93 overall Didi Gregorius ('No Sell')Featured Programs (Inning Bosses) I would start from the most current (4th inning) down.. which would get u 96 overall Felix Hernandez & more than 100K in stubs if u sell the other 3 bosses. (again never collect so you could always sell)
Go straight for Mike Trout with all the stubs you earn ( for live series collections) a lot of people make the mistake of buying every card besides the top 5 or so most expensive but it's way quicker to buy from the top down.. (most important)
Choose 87 CP Mariano Rivera from Legend Choice Pack in XP Reward Path
98 SP Hal Newhouser, 99 SP Corey Kluber, 96 CP Rollie Fingers from XP Reward Path (no sell)
99 OF Reggie Jackson, 99 2B/3B Ryne Sandberg from XP Reward Path (no sell)
-
Joe Morgan for sure
-
I believe he goes by the name of “Coach”
-
Or Cy Young Awards card would be crazy
-
Joe Morgan
Reggie Jackson -
Awards Joe Morgan
123 CON R
107 POW R
92 FLD (2B)
92 SPD 99 STL 99 BR AGG
Glitchy swing
Trust me this is the card you’re looking for.. plus you already have righty bats to platoonAs for Griffey it depends how close you are in that 10th inning program

Hey guys,
Just wondering what your opinions are on the best affordable 3rd basemans? I currently have POTM Justin Turner and 92 diamond Gary Sheffield.
Thanks,
Try Eduardo Escobar from topps now

Can’t wait to hear what happens next time you start a BR game

At first, I didn’t mind the crazy diving plays this year. But after an out of position player makes one, yeah this needs to be fixed…but probably won’t be
Incredible how easy it is to make diving plays. Whoever implemented this can go kick a large rock
Haha that’s a good one but I had someone make a diving play at 2B with Cedric Mullins and make the throw lefty

Try the new “Timing” hitting method so you only have to really press 1 button
Directional is tougher to use online since it’s more random, so best suited for offline
PCI zone is good but you may need to add transparency since it could be a distraction and end up doing more harm then good
-
Fingers, Britton, Rodney, Dibble, Eckersley, Franco, Morton
-
@sbevans142 @ddbake @CheddaAllDay
Reason you want to go for Trout first is because he is the gatekeeper for the live series collections, the most expensive & the best player. Don't worry about any division collections.. go Trout first, Gerrit Cole, Scherzer, DeGrom, Verlander, Arenado ( whichever most expensive first ) it's all about saving time & stubs (again dont worry about division collections until top 5 are cleared)

I would like to see having to manage position player stamina/energy.. as far as Ranked Seasons, not really for BR/Events.
Wouldn't even make a drastic difference, with an example being in Franchise mode you can play 5, 6, 7 games straight before really having to make a move to your bench.
Obviously factor in particular postion for percentages (1B loses much less energy than C)
With 5 bench spots it would add a bit more strategy besides punch running & hitting & you'd still be able to pinch hit your resting players.
With so many solid players in the game it would add an interesting dynamic, plus a way to test the depth of your squad -
@snojockey said in Problems with my Diamond Dynasty pitching rotation...:
First off, just want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas! I learned a lot from reading on all the topics on here. I got back into sports gaming after 10 years. I’m mainly a off-line player and typically don’t have as much time as others to grind it out. At any rate it’s been a great outlet to escape the grind of daily life so I my hats of to all the folks at MLB The Show. I love all the content however haven’t had good luck lately with the Ducks on Pond packs .lol Thank you. Ok here’s my question, I recently hit level Silver 42 (?)and chose Hal Newhouser. I’ve heard al lot of good stuff about him. So I put him at the top of my Diamond Dynasty rotation to try him out for the 3 inning All-Timers challenge and for some reason he’s not the starting pitcher. I can move to the 1st,2nd spot rotation but he’s never pitching. Any thoughts on what’s going on or what I’m doing wrong?
For some reason in that all-timers program they choose starter based on highest overall so if you want 98 Newhouser to start the other 4 starters on your squad should be 97 ovr and lower I believe

+1 for Posada

@primetime22337_MLBTS Have you tried 99 OVR Christy Matthewson yet? He’s got screwball, sinker, 12-6 curve, fastball & change up
I think this is the card you’re looking for, give it a try

You’re crazy. Dude’s batting .230 with the Yankees. He’s fit right in
