If the definition of your enjoyment relies on the opponent, I think you miss the point.

I have never had the CPU willingly and specifically quit on me on purpose.
Shouldn't it be about gameplay and enjoyment, not the embarrassment of an organic life-form.

But to ur point OP, hell yes they need to follow a MUT and 2k reward structure for CO-OP but most of these guys just wanna play CO-OP casually and then sweat it out on 1v1 Diamond Dynasty....

If you wanna play competiveley it will effect the game a lot. If anyone here has played competitive PRO - AM on 2k or even MUT SQUADS, you'll know that you need your best guy playing his best position to have any sort of chance against competent players. Also it kills the flow of pitching for me personally cause it's a very rhythmatic thing. Just imagine your playing madden and your the QB going back and forth with the other QB and then in the Last quarter of a tight game your friend who is a "casual" player has to rotate to qb lol

Simply just give the Choice to lock in roles or rotate and make everyone happy....

You might be missing the point of CO-OP. If you’re that worried about competitive situations, it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever jump into this mode with random players. I know I have a handful of friends I’ll be playing with exclusively as we all have similar skill sets.

CO-OP is also a unique opportunity for players who may be on a lower skill level, to learn and grow or “git gud” as some would say, from better players. Maybe think of it as an opportunity to coach others, rather than say “here kid, I’m better than you, let me do that for you”

I think you are really underestimating the potential of the mode. Just because you want it to be a casual mode doesn't mean it has to be. It can be competitive and casual, I can tell most of you guys have never played Comp 2k or Madden, it' s a sweatfest there is nothing casual about it when you play competent opponents.

And guess what, a lot of ppl love that, it's sooo hard to find competitive team games because most of them are shooters like COD.

Also am I crazy or does THE SHOW community hate Choice? why can't we just choose to rotate or lock in...problem solved for EVERYONE

First off SDS I wanna say thank you guys for real. The team play/squads element is all I play in madden and 2k and you finally brought it to the show.....amazing, GG, and A++ on that boys for real.

I'm not gonna get into all the small bugs/server issues as I'm sure SDS is aware and those will get fixed with patches and time...

My biggest gripe is the alternating roles. This is a freaking terrible idea and completely ruins the co-op aspect of the game. Imagine if a different person played QB every quarter on MUT SQUADS. Imagine if a different guy was the Point guard in 2k every quarter, it would literally ruin the entire game.

Not to mention the STATS, I'm a very dominant pitcher but I can't hit to save my life. I made it to World Series on pitching alone just averaging under 2 runs per game in 21. My point is, I should be allowed to pitch the whole time if that's what my team and I want.

When I play Madden I want the best QB to be the QB all the time. When I play 2k I want the best PG to be the PG all the time.
And when I play MLB I want the best pitcher to pitch.

Please don't cuck the skill gap this mode offers, or just make it optional to rotate or lock in a role to make everyone happy.

TLDR

-Alternating roles kills the game flow and marginalizes dominant pitchers
-Just offer a choice of if ppl want to lock in roles or alternate
-TY so much for being the first game to not make SQUADS a side mode. You guys are really working on it and making it the main course. Much love keep up the good work boys!!

I'm gonna assume you don't play a lot of sports games, imagine playing PG in the 1st quarter only to be shifter to Center when I had like 7 assists and was doing great as the PG LMAO

We're comparing Team Play modes man the sport is irrelevant. Heck we can even compare soccer, BRB pulling our best goalie because we need to rotate roles, herp derp....Do u not play Pro-am or Mut Squads? if you played at any decently high level you would understand why it's a huge deal for competitive play

I like your second point about letting people choose whether to lock in roles.

Thank you! that seems like the most logical choice. IMO people playing with randoms will want to rotate roles and people playing with friends will want to lock in. You can never go wrong with more Choice
