Sometimes it feels like their pitcher animations, especially, are Lacroix versions of their real-life counterparts. You get the essence, but are still pretty disappointed regularly.

This is a common issue year after year, but has anyone noticed that Yamamoto's windup doesn't really look anything like his real life windup? Kershaw has also never been particularly accurate, either. Verlander and Scherzer were improved a lot over the years.

Why is Matt Shaw of the Cubs not in the game? Seems like most first rounders are.

It’s never been realistic for him. It’s close at the beginning, but they don’t capture his drop and drive at all.

With how good everything else has become, it’s frustrating that they don’t update animations for some stars. Kris Bryant, Rizzo, Javy Baez are others. Scherzer and Verlander used to be way off, but they improved them.

Any other players you wish they’d update?

Anyone else getting frozen in the City Connect mode after completing a moment? I’m on PS5.

Has anyone experienced fielders diving randomly while running? Lol, pretty ridiculous, but at least I’m just doing Conquest

Let's get the disclaimer out there: I'm obviously a big Cubs fan. Overall, I'm really enjoying the game this year, outside of some bugs.

However, one source of frustration is the lack of updates to pitching windups and batting stances. To stay on the topic, Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant are slightly off and haven't changed in three years. Rizzo crowds the plate like a mofo, and on the game he's way off of it. Kris Bryant has a much more spread-out stance than what is depicted in the game and his arms are bowed out when he actually keeps them tight.

These are not nearly the most important things to fix, but every little bit of realism added to the game makes a huge difference for me. I'd love to see more frequent updates to batting stances like they did with Bellinger and Gallo last year!
