As of this morning, some exciting new things have been added and adjusted to the-show-zone.com!
Players Page
Flipping Page
Coming soon - I'm working to establish a 'Card Similarity' rating, which basically tells you which other Diamond Dynasty card is most similar to that one. It's really helpful when trying to find the most similar card to something you're struggling to unlock, like a 12-0 BR reward. For example, the most similar player to the 91 BO Andrew Miller is 88 PS Cody Allen and 88 LS Josh Hader. From a pitch selection standpoint they may be different, but from a ratings perspective they're very close.
Now available on the-show-zone.com/affinity-dashboard, the Affinity Dashboard organizes all player rewards for each Team Affinity program, provides you with the True Overall rating of each individual player, and is sorted by a weighted average rating of that program (more weight put on higher overall players). In addition, click the ‘Exchange Options’ button to open the Team Affinity Exchanges page automatically filtered and sorted for the best available exchange options for that team’s program. Once there, you can easily filter by Rarity (if you only want to exchange silvers, for example) or even by card overall by typing the overall into the Card field. Also, click the The Show Nation button on the right to take you directly to that cards page so you can start inputting orders right away. And as always, pricing updates every 5 minutes and the tables refresh themselves, so you are always seeing the best exchange options.
I’ll be adding the Stage 3 cards once they’re all available and adjusting the weighted averages on the dashboard, so keep an eye out for those to start appearing soon.
Couple of pretty cool updates for the-show-zone.com I wanted to inform everyone of:
Player/Card Comparison Pages
Hitters I filtered the main table down to just hitters and removed all pitching attributes, so you can quickly be able to compare and contrast different hitters. Also, there is a spider web chart that appears at the top that compares all of the shown hitters and their respective CvL, CvR, PvL, PvR, and Vision attributes. Note these diagrams look 1000x better on desktop/tablet than on mobile.
Pitchers Same thing as the Hitters page, but for pitchers... The spider web chart at the top compares all of the shown pitchers and their respective per-9 attributes. Note - I do realize there is currently a filtering issue with the pitcher positions. It's completely random and driving me crazy, but I'll find a way to resolve it in time.
Similarity Scores The perfect page for you bargain-hunters out there! I created a massive matrix that compares each card to one another from an attributes perspective and this table illustrates the Top 5 most similar cards to one another. I used to do this for myself before I had this website to find the cheaper options for cards that I didn't want to spend or lock-in a lot of stubs for. The smaller the number, the better. I've found if it's less than 40 or so, the cards are pretty similar. If you find some down close to 10 or so, they're almost identical. Right now with not having a ton of the elite cards released, some of the higher-level cards might not have a good comparison (especially within their own position group) but that will change as more cards are added to the game. One of the more interesting finds from this page for me so far is how similar the 95 AS Willie McCovey from the XP Reward Path is to the Yankees collection Giambi.
Collections
Live Series Collection I added the reward for each of the collections to the right of the costs, so you can now see exactly who you would be getting for each collection.
Prospects Collection Knowing that Prospects Set 3 and a new collection reward is coming tomorrow, they are probably correlated, so I established this page now. I'll be updating tomorrow once the new packs and rewards are released.
A lot of you probably remember and utilized the site during the later half of MLB the Show 19, but for those of you that aren’t aware and are interested in the updates for this season… the-show-zone.com is a site dedicated to providing an easy to use, filterable, exportable, and always live database of MLB the Show 20 Diamond Dynasty cards/players.
Note for this season, SDS’s current APIs seem to be restricted to only non-collection players. In other words: Future of the Franchise players, Live Series collection rewards, and several other players are not available at the moment. Of course, I’ll update in the future manually, but for now it will be for the most part market-eligible players only.
The site contains metadata and attributes each card, including difficult to find individual pitches with speed, break, and control ratings. In addition, there are dedicated pages with live calculations of current collection costs, best player exchange options, and best current flipping options. Here is a breakdown of each of the site pages, which change and adjust throughout the year as player attributes, pricing, and Diamond Dynasty content adjusts:
Home Page (Players)
Collections – Live Series and More in the Future
Exchanges – Team Affinity & Tier to Tier
Flipping
More will be added throughout the year as things are released and I’m able to make updates. If anyone has any feedback, issues, questions, or even ideas to improve the site in some areas, feel free to send me a message here or at ccott235@the-show-zone.com.

@raesONE that's a great call - I'll see what I can do from a segmentation perspective. Perhaps developing similarity scores by position and handedness...
