After today’s update, we’ve seen reports of an error message stating “Your Opponent Has An Invalid Roster” when trying to play a game in Mini-Seasons.
While we were able to correct this error for new seasons, we were unable to do so for seasons that were already in progress.
This means that if you started a season before today’s update, and are receiving this error message when trying to play, you will need to restart your season.
We understand your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience.

We are aware of the issues involving two-way player pitcher energy and are actively working on a solution.
In the meantime, we've removed the following players from the Battle Royale draft pool:
99 Jin Kim John Donaldson
99 Jin Kim Martin Dihigo
99 Jin Kim Hilton Smith
99 Jin Kim Rube Foster
99 Lightning Shohei Ohtani
We are also aware of the adverse effects these issues are causing in other game modes such as Ranked Seasons and Events, and are discussing next steps.

You may have noticed a change to the quicksell values of some cards in Diamond Dynasty.
This was unintended and has been adjusted.
All cards in Diamond Dynasty will now hold the same quicksell values (based on their overall rating) as they did last year.
We are aware that the CPU is throwing too many balls in Diamond Dynasty and are currently investigating the issue.

We've updated several missions within the Gwynn's 3,000th Hit Celebration Program.
"PXP w/ Padres" and "PXP w/ 95 OVR All-Star Gwynn" were not intended to be repeatable, and the "repeatable" mission text has been removed.
We've also changed the "Hits w/ Padres" mission to reward 15 points (previously 4) in order to improve progress for those who were expecting the above missions to be repeatable.
Text has also been updated for any missions requiring All-Star Series players, noting that 2024 All-Star Series and All-Star Game Series are not included.

We are very aware of the impact it is having on the game, but it's a much more complicated issue that is beyond a simple fix. If it was as simple as preventing starters from being brought out of the bullpen, or removing secondary positions from the cards, we would have done that already.

Understand. However, these cards were removed from BR. Can they just be taken out of the game until a fix is done? Events are using LS Ohtani and I think 90/91 (can't remember which) Donaldson.
BR is a different animal because it uses a set pool of players and the teambuilding aspect is separate from the rest of DD.
The short answer is no, we can't just remove them from the game. Not only would it mess with set collection progress, but we're not going to take cards away from player inventories.
Imagine somebody goes to the market, picks up 99 John Donaldson, and then the card is removed from the game and their inventory. They may not even play online games. You can see how this creates more problems than it solves.

The server maintenance did not contain a patch, although barring any setback, there will be one soon. It will address many of the areas of the game and many of the topics commonly discussed here.

Based on community feedback, we will be removing the Team OVR restriction of 85 in the All Sets III Event. There will be no maximum OVR restriction for this event for the remainder of its duration.
We agree with the sentiment that an event designed around including cards from all sets should be less restrictive by nature.
When the changes are made, all current event lineups and streaks will be reset.

We're aware that Android users are experiencing a longer than usual delay for their face scans to show in game.

Pinch hitting for a captain after the game starts, regardless of the inning, is not an exploit.
My previous comment was in reference to something that is an exploit, which involves generating a captain boost without even having the player on your team. Which, of course, we are still investigating.

We have a game update set to deploy at 4 AM PT tomorrow morning (Tuesday 10/17) which will resolve the issue that is preventing Nintendo Switch users from accessing online modes.

We released Game Update 1.14 this morning, which contained some significant improvements to the online Diamond Dynasty experience.
Notably, two-way player pitcher energy is now functioning properly, and users can no longer switch between squads during the matchmaking process using the companion app or website.
