About the only thing I’d add is that on rookie, we should score so many runs that we are encouraged to try a higher difficulty.
As the game stands now (in all modes), I’m not encouraged at all to get off Rookie (unless forced to)

Other titles (FIFA, Madden,NHL) get “rookie mode” right. I’ve played those games. Eventually, you score so many goals, TDs, etc. that you WANT to try a higher difficulty.
That is NOT the case with The Show. In fact, for me, it’s the opposite. I think, “why would I want to go to Allstar/Legend (etc.) when I play Conquest games with my 87 team against the White Sox 5th starter and win 1-0? Or give up after 20+ attempts at a Moment on Veteran? “
IMO, it backwards thinking by SDS.
For me, the issue is that the various modes do not play the same at equivalent levels. I’ll choose Veteran for the sake of this post. Veteran mode vs CPU plays different than veteran mode in Conquest plays different than Veteran in Moments. They should all play the same.
And “whatever” the baseline mode is for DD (allstar??), anything below that should be easier. Anything above that should be harder. And not just pitch speeds.
In rookie mode, the CPU should frankly be as “inept” as possible. Fat pitches down the middle, no gold glove plays in the field. Fielding errors. Baserunning blunders. And that doesn’t happen at all right now.
If they want to make Rookie mode “more difficult”, put higher rated players in the CPU lineup. Not “whatever” they do now ( which I suspect involves slider manipulation).
What’s funny is that there are three consistent type of answers from folks who disagree with us who say that something’s up with hitting:
“Something’s up with hitting? Get gud!”
“Something’s up with hitting? Ah, you just want the rewards without doing the grind!”
“Something’s up with hitting? Go play another game!”
No, we enjoy playing but SOMETHING’S UP WITH HITTING. It’s as simple as that and we’d like it fixed!
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m late swinging on just about everything. Consistently.
You know, the one “simple” change SDS could make to DD that would probably satisfy most of the concerns we have is to have all modes play the same for similar levels.
In other words, Rookie mode plays the same vs. CPU, in mini seasons, in conquest, in showdowns, DQ, moments, etc.
And similarly for veteran, all star, and higher levels.
If they want to make a mode tougher, put higher rated cards in the lineup for the opponent. Not jack up the sliders as they do now

When I see the word “extreme” on anything related to “The Show”, I simply move on….
I just tried to play the AL showdown. Literally, failed just about every mission. SDS, FIX HITTING. Fix it, before folks start leaving.
Seriously.
I don’t play online at all. There is something definitely wrong with hitting. Not just online. We are not being rewarded for making solid contact. It feels as if a ton of my line drive contact with high velocities are right at fielders. Very frustrating. Not fun at all.
I just got the first boss in the 2nd inning. Didn’t get far enough to get any bosses in the first one.
Definitely not rewarding. Nerfing XP in “play vs CPU” games on Rookie has been a killer for me this year.
I love grinding the stats. Try to stay away from all types of moments. Cannot stand Daily moments at all. Loved TA. Love to grind other programs that allow you to play vs CPU. I’m like 75 to 85 % complete on most programs ( until they force you to complete a specific moment or go online)
I have a RTTS dude as well. That is fun.
Thongypu, thanks for taking the time to reply.
We will have to just agree to disagree.
Yes, they definitely adjusted stamina. Wish they would adjust gameplay. My team of 90 rated players in another series of tense, sweaty games this time against the Cubs!!!
Never score in the first inning. Hardly score in the second. Get all my runs usually in the third inning or extra innings.
Same scenario each time I play a conquest game. It’s like the games are “supposed” to be close.
Oh and this is on Vet.
I’ll add that when I say, “get the job done”, I don’t mean playing the same Moment 15, 20 or more times.
Yes, if you swing poorly and/or at bad pitches, I wouldn’t expect to satisfy the Moment. But, good swings on good pitches in the strike zone? Yeah, that’s a reasonable expectation IMO
Anyway, off my Moments soapbox. Second year playing this game. Moments, by far, are the worst and worst thought out program. Not even close.
I don’t have the C1, but I have the G1. It is awesome.
Go into settings menu and turn off Energy Saving stuff. I believe that auto dims the panel.
So, I finally P5’d a player! Been playing since ‘21, never got close but finally did it this year. Have several more guys on the way as well. Exciting.
Anyway, once you P5 a guy, do you keep him in your lineup? Or do you remove him and it’s “next man up”? Just curious.
Thanks! The player was Juan Soto. Marte, david Ortiz and Skenes are right behind Soto.
I just finished the cactus conquest map. Got around 25 standard show packs. (Among a couple of other packs). Anyway, I literally could have quick sold every player card in those 20+ standard packs. Those I posted, I’ll make a couple of stubs profit ( at best). Ive never experienced that before.
I consider myself a casual player who likes to play on Rookie/veteran. This program is PERFECT for someone like me!
Put together a Phillie team with Schwarber as jolt captain. Two games vs CPU on Veteran at Coors Field and BAM: JT Realmuto is my new catcher!
Get him to 500 PXP and I can start to catch up on TA (which I’m way way way behind on)
I only have about half of the Jolt captains….
