There needs to be a way to save the game in the middle so we don't get a loss when it disconnects. This happens too frequently. I have 4 losses primarily due to being disconnected. Being an offline player, I was really looking forward to this mode and it has been nothing but a headache. Note: This is not an issue with my wired connection.

It has nothing to do with how good the team is, I beat the team (Several times). I want to see the other comparable teams and the different combinations of players they use this early in the game.
-
As an offline player I was very excited when they announced mini seasons. I liked the vibe of extra innings last year. For Mini Seasons, I thought, "Cool I will be playing teams just like mine, people building from the beginning." Then I go in and the first team is literally the best possible team available right now. LSS, there should be a limit to the overall of the teams that get created as the other teams in the league to be in similar spots in the roster building process.
-
Like the others, I played and won this morning and it counted as a loss and no stats counted. I just tried again and won again and the game looked like it would have counted but disconnected and again nothing counted. You would think SDS would have played the game and found this error immediately.
-
None of my stats counted either

I think enough people in years past skipped it that they won’t put any resources toward making it. They trended to a format that allows everyone to have a shot at every card which is favorable amongst the non elite.
-
I can see the end of new dailies being near with either one long daily program that runs into next year with choice packs of prior daily “bosses” along the way or each month being the same format with a choice pack of prior “bosses”.
-
At the pace you’re able to play it sounds like 21 has all you need to slowly grind TA and monthly awards. With all the stubs and packs you get through them you should be able to buy any other player you desire that you don’t already have from TA and MA. You can also still do all the player programs from innings as a bonus to grab a few more guys. Oh, and all the TN moments for more cards and stubs.
-
At this point you can buy and flip 2 players to cover the “fee” if that is what’s bothering you.
-
They are trying to mix it up with teams this year. I really like it. Thome is justifiable as a star on several teams. I agree they should have put it as a milestone instead of signature but in the long run, who cares about what series a card is in?

Yes it’s been discussed and the reason is simple: with a DH, your bench becomes obsolete. Also, it forces you to balance between keeping a got pitcher in the game or trying to get an important run
Exactly this. It’s about selling stubs. With no DH you need to have a full bench and bullpen. If there was a DH you would only need one bat and you could let deGrom or Ryan (or whoever else) throw all 9.
How does the bench become obsolete? Wouldn’t you still need a lefty and righty bat to counter pitching matchups, a speedster and maybe a backup catcher?
With the right DH, no. There are enough players that hit well against both. Given a DH, you wouldn’t worry about PH thus leaving your catcher in. Speedsters are dime a dozen if you’re looking to grab a bag.

I like the different teams this year. It shows parity from the same cards over and over each year.

I have definitely had bad experiences online in the past that are a major turn off but I don’t have the time to dedicate playing a nine or six inning game without extended pausing. The fun for me is the nostalgia of card collecting and satisfying my need to accomplish missions.
I could turn around and say, “what is the fun of playing online?” The majority of posts are about how “the game is broken”. Ultimately, whether you play online or offline, all we are doing is killing time until next years game comes out and then repeating. There is no real end prize. The year ends and we start over. -

Stop trying to force these modes that people hate on us. They should be optional to complete a program (for offline players). Moments are the worst. No one says, "I can't wait for more moments". They say, "I HAVE to do these real quick to get back to playing what I actually enjoy".
If you're going to force showdown on us, you can't let disconnects lead to not getting the runs or failing completely. This has happened to me several times. For a casual player like me, runs are crucial. Maybe I am wrong and just venting because I hate this mode and it is causing me stress that I won't complete a program but I think I have some valid points that SDS needs to hear.Get better internet.....
I have a top notch wired connection. That is not the issue.

It's not like the only option is Showdown... you could skip showdown and play online for the points or skip online and play showdown. I like showdown a lot better than moments. They are never going to just giveaway 99s.... you have to play a little bit to earn them.
The point is that we don't play online. They made showdown our only option.

I just got passed all the mini bosses and I’m about to start the missions worth 3 runs for the FOD showdown. Are these missions going to be harder? Do you guys have any tips for these missions or any tips overall? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
They are all on Veteran. The actual missions are roughly the same as before. It is just the randomness of showdown that will get you.

Genuinely curious, what kind of modes do you propose should take the place of Moments and Showdown? Or do you just want them gone completely from the game? I kinda quit doing Showdowns after I completed TA1 so I don't have much comment there. To me Moments are a very easy way to gain progress on programs and are the things I always knock out first, so I personally don't really understand the seemingly community-wide hatred for Moments.
I think they should just be gone completely. I will say moments have been easier this year (difficult ones were still beatable) but they are more of a "have to" than "want to". I really enjoy the stat missions. I think they should incorporate more of those. With stat missions you get to play the mode you want while gaining progress. You don't get bored with repeating the difficult moments over and over, you just have a guy in your lineup. For the online players that complain of the repetitive lineups and pitchers, it would force some parity to accomplish those missions.
