That’s a glitch. Mini seasons has a fair amount of these. That’s not a real card in the game.

I am probably being overly hopeful, but the idea of people dropping $600USD (or whatever it costs) to get a million stubs makes my head hurt for them.

It is very easy to earn stubs or flip for stubs, especially at this point in the year. I highly doubt anyone is paying $600 for one card.

I’m not sure but I wish they’d do the shows throughout the whole year. It’s something to look forward to. There’s just something about the card reveals being shown live vs. via a post that hits different.

I still think, and this is just a hunch, that they told the content team "You need to create content for two games now and you are not getting any extra people to accomplish that."

By the way, when Ashley and Carson ended the last live stream and said they would be back but they were not sure when, I was expecting it to be this year. They are not even bothering with the pre-recorded videos we got last year during off weeks

I miss The Show Live. Unfortunately I think too many toxic folks got in there and ruined it for everyone else. I like Carson and Ashley, and always looked forward to the live shows and the content that came with them. Twitter posts just don’t hit the same. Hoping they get back at it in ‘27.

I like all sorts of grinding because it’s satisfying for me.

I enjoyed the mini seasons when I had to complete quests for cards. But then people complained, so now all we get are packs. As someone with lots of stubs, grinding for packs isn’t as fun (I haven’t finished any of the last ~5-6 mini seasons).

I’ve enjoyed past programs where you could chose online or offline missions (or a combo of both as I like to do).

Idk, for me - the grind keeps me going. I’m also not at a stage in life right now where I want to be playing super competitively, so any offline game modes + events are lovely. You just need to give me a reason to do them.

@Pergo_MLBTS I don’t recall not getting a reward, BUT last WC I think they accidentally put me in the wrong division (I was Bronze 1 rated like 700). So I essentially got no rewards for winning games.

Could be from that. Either way, it was nice to get a random pack like that in my inventory. I have almost every card and 3.3 mill stubs, but it’s still nice.

Did anyone else log in and find a random WC Rewind pack in their inventory?

I'm assuming I was "owed" one from a previous WC and it finally showed up? No clue, but I was PUMPED for a free Pedro... who I ended up selling because I already have all the WC cards lol.

It's the little things like this that make me happy

When is the L&F collection? Last I saw it said November, but didn't see an actual date.

As for your questions:
1 - you'll probably be able to skip 1 or 2, and I highly doubt you'll need every card within those collections. You can probably skip 2-3 of the chase cards, I think.
2 - contributor Ruth - you'll probably need. But the WC one, no.
3 - they will not, don't worry
4 - definitely not
5 - Probably a collection, Posada... going to say yes at a 60/40 clip, but it can go either way.

Witt, Rollins, Babe - they will not require these cards for collections. People think SDS is some sort of monster. They’ve been very nice about the collections - letting you skip quite a few cards.

The rare cards with only a few thousand in circulation, they would never require them to gatekeep a big collection.

Like I bought mine, but it's actually the same card as whoever sold it to me. So does that count as 1 or 2?

I saw a video that said that counts as two, so it's how times the card has been acquired, be it through packs or the marketplace.

If so, even scarier how hard he is to find.

I've got spare stubs, but might just buy Jimmy Rollins instead.

Something isn’t adding up. Says 617 have acquired it, but over 3,000 have it to P1. So I guess it does count as 1 time but seems strange the each card has been passed around so much that 3,000+ have it p1 before selling. And like 900 p2.

I rarely play so I can even less about losses than before. Just seems awfully sus.

If you barely play, it’s hard to imagine people that low in the ranks cheating.

@rubicante23_PSN I disagree on the flipping. Not everyone has time to play the game enough to make a lot of stubs. Being able to passively flip in bulk is what keeps me engaged with the game. I’m the guy who needs to finish all collections and have every card (at least every collection card and every card I care about).

Also to the OP - margins are more wild because @manu__sds_mlbts worked his behind off to get all the bots out of the marketplace. If it weren’t for him, margins would still be terrible.

The different factions play for different reasons. A lot play to prove to you how good they are. I don't care, at all, how good you are. Tell your Mom, she might be proud of you or reward you.

I, personally, play the game (a lot) because I love baseball and love video games. I love keeping up with players, with prospects and the draft, and a lot of other aspects of baseball to stay current.

I, personally, have been criticized for not being more negative about the game.

If you love the game, play it. If you are frustrated by it, then don't.

The game wasn't created to satisfy you, and you alone. There are probably 5 year olds that play this game and there are many players older than I am, 59.

I'm mediocre at the game. I can reasonably get to 500 each Ranked Season. That probably effects my lack of anger at the game. There are many aspects of the game I wish were better. Like, in my 700 hours, and thousands of packs, I wish I had pulled Ohtani or Judge. But, it is my choice to play.

Like the original post here, if it becomes too much, whatever your gripes are, stop playing.

100% agree with you. I'm 39, which I thought put me on the older side for this game, but after spending time on these forums, I'm starting to feel kind of young lol.

I grew up on Nintendo/Super Nintendo, so I think that gives me a different perspective. Complaints about graphics or "why wasn't my perfect swing a home run?" just don't hit me the same way. I grew up playing games with guys made out of 5 pixels. I also barely played video games through my 20s and early 30s, so when I came back and saw MLB the Show, I was blown away.

I have my own criticisms of this year's game, but it's still my #1 game to play. I enjoy both online and offline modes, and I play whatever I'm in the mood for. That's a big part of it for me: play the game however you enjoy it.

Can things improve? Absolutely. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism. But if you're constantly miserable, crashing out and breaking controllers when things don't go your way, or feeling the need to cheat, exploit glitches or buy stubs from third-party sites, maybe it's time to find something else to play. I love baseball, I love video games, and this is how I unwind. If it stops being fun, I'll go do something else. But for now, I'm very happy with the game.

Have you bought the packs or earned them?
I wonder if there's a difference. I never buy packs and have had really bad luck (0 headliners pulled).
Then a friend of mine who NEVER plays bought packs, and pulled Shohei.
I think the odds are the same, but wonder if it makes a difference?
