Can someone help me understand why I can't open my perk packs? I've earned stars throughout the year, and I can't open these packs no matter what I try. My player is stuck in AA. Someone PLEASE help me!

I've earned plenty of points to open packs, but nothing is happening when I press the A button... just... nothing happens. My player isn't going to get better if I can't open the packs I've earned. Someone help. Please!!
