I pretty much stopped playing DD already. Got sick of it all. Couple issues? Sure. But it’s more than a couple and it’s not even that fun anymore. I’m trying out franchise but don’t see that keeping my attention for too long. Such a shame. This game has brought me such enjoyment since ‘06 and especially since COVID. Hate whatever is happening behind the scenes.

Does anyone know which are the best to use for competitive realistic franchise play?

Probably not for awhile. Valera and Soto are not in as well. Probably better off creating them.

Man I’m getting old. I remember his crazy HR on Opening Day when everyone was watching the best prospect in the game come up and how we all thought he’d be a legend. I remember trying to create him in The Show before they had roster updates so I could play with him. There were tutorials on line for how to do it. Crazy that was 16 years ago now. Hope the guy has a great retirement!

After my 2 disconnects in Mini Seasons today, I'd take Baseball Stars. They never disconnected

How many out there play every single game of the season? I’m tired of DD, don’t care for RTTS, and franchise is what I played as a kid and enjoyed. Not sure if the game to game has depth and immersion, but if it does I’m interested. Also love to keep my stats. Thinking of playing at a high level to make it realistic also. Any thoughts or advice?

If we’re giving credit I have to say I’m happy that after 15 years they put the B on the cap with the Sox red jerseys and finally stopped with the socks in DD. It annoyed me for years. Also the fact they added the Sox Marathon Monday jersey to DD is pretty sweet as well. Still not happy like many others with the game this year, but I’ll take the W here.

I feel like it was there and you were able to skip through it this year. I could definitely be misremembering that though

Did you check to see if he has child filters on? You have to allow content to all rating to be online. Just went through it with my son.

There are captain cards for countries??

Haven’t played enough to formulate an opinion on the game in general, but the new card collecting, slow menus and now no manager shortcut options are not good changes.

Sure the UI looks good, but…

Coincidentally these were really my only negatives yesterday taking it for a test drive as well. The card collecting change in particular. I get it helps prevent mistakenly locking in a card, but I didn’t realize it was such a mass issue to warrant such a drastic change. It is so slow. I hate they took away the manager shortcuts but I’ll get used to the new format and may even like it better over time.

I’m excited because it’s fresh. Really hoping the glitches from last year are fixed. Hope the game feels better online and off compared to last season. Looking forward to just taking my time with it. Every year I rush through it chasing players I rarely use because I chase the next player. This year I’m going to play with who I like, get cards I want to try, and just have some fun. I’m going to stop watching the streamers and rarely look at the socials this year to avoid the temptation to grind and waste tons of hours forgetting to enjoy the game. Hopefully it’s a great game overall.

Alomar, as already discussed, is on the permanently ineligible list.
Lofton WAS in the game, but people didn't use his card because it didn't really meet the meta.

The Lofton card was my absolute favorite to hit with. No matter how bad I am I still was able to rake with him. Would love to see him come back.

I always wonder why the SDS people don’t come on here to clarify when they see a thread get to 2-3 pages of confusion. It would be a great value add

If you waited in person for 6 hours in a line around the box office to get it… then yes you’re in
