For me, it's Mini Seasons. I can tell which game I'm supposed to lose. It doesn't matter if it's Hall of Fame or Rookie difficulty; the lineouts and very late CPU hits let you know the loss will happen, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I don’t lose on the mode - but you’re 100% correct that difficulty doesn’t matter in terms of how you’re rewarded for contact. Plus, I’m done playing against Peru and everywhere else. Either give me barnstorming in Wichita, Louisville, etc. or get really creative and make it the WBC season next year where you play teams that are in the tournament- even if you have to make some guys up because you don’t have the rights. Playing the Lemurs and Cats is terrible

This has been my favorite event all year given how much it rewards you along the rewards path. I banged out a ton in just a few hours.

Interesting I didn’t get an email at all. I normally get all of them, Scouting Reports, promos, etc. as long as I don’t need a special code and it’s just a promo to show a card then no issue. But if I need a code to unlock something then I need to figure that out, I guess?

Weekend Showdown. I’m up 4-3 top of the 9th. He has Cruz coming up who already has 3 hits against me. I try to intentionally walk him but can’t remember where the button is. I figure it out and walk him. I go to bring in lefty to face Ohtani, but before I do he subs in Beltran. I go back to pen to make sure I’m good - still time in the clock. All of a sudden, it says “game forfeited”. What in the world is that all about? That was one of the more fun games I’ve played and now ruined. Opponent was awesome too so shout out to them.

Absolutely stinks. Just when I felt like maybe I was enjoying this again too.

I don’t have every goat card, but I have many. I also stink remarkably so online despite how much I’ve played over the years. I’ve hit my ceiling and it’s about 5’ high. So yes, having to play HOF in events I’m definitely rolling out a switch team to get any advantage I can. But don’t worry, I haven’t won yet.

I ran into WS types the first two games I tried on events. Need to wait a few days to hopefully pair up with people I have a shot against

You’re not wrong. I looked and was shocked there weren’t at least two somewhat easier moments to get the juices flowing. Like you, it could be I’m just getting old. But even the Mason Miller one is a problem for me. At the end of the day, it’s only Elly anyone “really” wants. Surprised they made this as hard as they did compared to previous extremes. Hopefully they plan to make the 2x PXP permanent even after the playoffs so I can get Elly in January.

I love 2x PXP - really makes me feel like I accomplish things playing as little as I do lately compared to previous years. I have a feeling that even if they don’t extend it after the playoffs - it will be back shortly after.

Sounds like you’re having a bad day with the italics and “absurd”. No worries, I have thick skin. My point is that the majority of the community struggle to find time to P5 cards so double PXP gives them a fighting chance.

It’s also my personal hot take, we don’t have to agree. Hope your day gets better! Cheers!

DD only gets fun now during double PXP when you can actually P5 players for the majority of the community

Spotlight cards instantly crashed - woof

I like the mix of players for variety. Some of those cards are fun new gems in ‘25 like Simpson and Jenkins so getting 99’s of them will be fun. Plus 99 guys like Albies and Berkman not being behind a paywall is refreshing.

Wish they had player evolution cards where there are gates to gradually allow you to work them to 99. Start at say 75. First gate is is 80 at launch, 85 in April, 90 in May, 95 in June and 99 in July. Maybe choose from 4 players and you only get 1. In September, SDS can release 99 that are accessible for all 4 so you can still get them all later. For example, maybe guys like Frank Thomas, Soriano, Pudge, and Finley. And make it so they can contribute PXP to any of the teams they played for and be eligible for those team’s captains boost. Just try something different. Either that or allow a CAP with position, attribute and character restrictions and they can follow the same gates.

But alas, with screen freezing and broken attribute wheels still an issue this may all just be wishful thinking.

There's a technique, sort of.
When you see the 1st Gold, then about 4 or 5 Silver icons in a row, the next is usually , but it flashes quickly, followed by a bunch of yucky silvers. Sometimes you have to let it roll all the way through to memorize the 's 2 or 3 appearances. I got Diamond once using the rhythm method. The times I got silver, I was too impatient, and timed my press either too early or too late.

I could be wrong, but the wheel spin is a visual exercise and the reward is predetermined. It’s glitched a bunch in the past and I noticed that spinning meant nothing.

2020 and 2021 for me.
