Me too about 6-8 minutes ago

I must be missing something here.....can't find any of the 4 items I chose in my inventory...anyone else not get theirs?

For sure and in regards to this game and the games I play, I'd go with 5 RP and 7 on the bench. It's a pain if you want to PH or PR for your catcher and not only need someone fast but also another C on the bench. Two of 4 spots taken up because you MIGHT want to make that sort of move.
The point being, we should have the choice just like they do in real life.
It would make the game more fun to play which I guess is NOT SDS's #1 priority.

Make it like real life, don't force us to have only 4 players on the bench and 8 RP. I only play conquest, mini seasons and vs. CPU and in the first 2 it's rare you need more then 1 reliever in a game. Even in the 9 inn. vs. CPU if you have even 1 great starter you can get by with 2-3 RP every game, certainly never more then 5. I don't know if it's the same online.
I would like the option to have as many players on the bench as I want to. It would open up more options of platooning especially, but also pinch hitting, pinch running and even defensive substitutions.

@PAinPA They don't stack in that they don't have the same bonuses. However, yes both are active at the same time. Each has 3 tiers and each tier for both the hitter and pitcher captains have 4 bonuses (2 each for hitters and pitchers). So a hitter captain has 2 pitching bonuses and 2 hitting bonuses and vice versa. The bonuses for each different tier are the same attributes, each tier just increases their affect.
You can check them all out by clicking on the pack in the store or in the XP rewards.

Very important: You need to activate your captains, any captains, on the left of your squad page and you can only have one hitter captain and one pitcher captain active at a time.

I was surprised to see those packs in the store, and 25k per pack is very reasonable. What a surprisingly nice gift from SDS! It would take most people weeks to grind up to 225k xp to get both packs.

I Highly recommend buying the packs in the store and not waiting to grind for them. I put Mattingly and Ford in my squad along with 14 other Yankees to get the tier 3 bonus. Basically filled the bench and most of the pitchers with any and all Yankees lol. I was surprised how much those bonuses really affected the players. The diamonds like Cole, Mantle, Miller, etc. all went up 4-5 levels, Ford and Mattingly both went up 6 levels. The only gold (Torres) went up 5 levels and all the silvers went up 7 levels. It makes a huge difference to someone like Holmes who went from a 79 and doesn't make the team, to a useful 86.

I haven't played for a few years. What exactly are the penalties for a player playing in their secondary position?

This always makes me shake my head. How? why? This isn't the first year of the game, they should have an excellent idea of how many are going to play based on past years and the preorders this year. I think they just try to scrape by each year at the start with the minimum number of servers they can. So I'm guessing when the regular release happens it will be even uglier.....

Ah, ok, I haven't played that much in the past month or so and haven't bothered with anything I couldn't buy. I thought he must have a 99 card like everyone else lol.

I got Franco the day it came out and love him. I hit great with him, he's my second best hitter after Eddie Murray (on a team of all 99's like everyone has now). Plus he's a great fielder and I love switch hitters. I have no plans to even try anyone else.

I love Boggs, have always hit great with him. I got Eddie Murray as soon as his card came out and he is awesome for me, easily the best all around hitter on my team which like everyone now is all 99's. Being a switch hitter helps and he's a good fielder.

I've noticed that problem for years. The runners sometimes "freeze" on a line drive or fly ball that could be caught but then don't move after the ball drops in or is caught. So I've seen them fail to advance or fail to return to the base and get doubled off.
You really have to keep your eye on them.

I’m not trying to be rude, but if you can’t beat this showdown then I genuinely don’t understand how you’re able to accomplish anything at all in this game.

It’s seriously as easy as people are saying it is.

I keep losing on the 3rd boss because of terrible base-running and no pitches over the plate. I agree the first two rounds are easy and perhaps I'm pressing way too much.

To be fair, I'm not great at online hitting, I'm great at pitching but that doesn't help with this showdown. But I rarely have trouble with cou hitting and I beat the first inning showdown (the real one) Guess I'll just keep trying. I wish I could laugh it off and finish it in 7 pitches like you all but it's my first year playing the game and I have trouble laying off bad pitches.

I see you finished it, congrats!
Yeah the third boss is the toughest.
And BTW me doing in on 7 pitches was extraordinarily luckily. I could never come close to that again.

That was lucky but they are ridiculously easy. One is runner on 3rd and 5 outs to score him.
Last boss is 20 outs to get 1 run with a stacked lineup..
By the end you'll have 6 97-99 Diamonds and two golds, you never play D so positions don't matter. And great diamond perks. It's stupid.
