He's an ovr 73 free agent formally on Houston. Because of the lighting and/or focus or whatever his face looks lumpy, scarred, deformed and he looks like a zombie. I would have thought he would have asked to have a new one.

Wow, 3. I don't care that much about getting another hitting captain, would just like it if you could put the one you have on the bench and have his boosts count.

I only play offline as well. It would even be helpful if you could replace him in the lineup right away but you can't take out hitter captains until the third evening obviously.

I love Dominguez. Every year there's always at least one guy I hit way better with then his attributes are, at least compared to other's with higher attributes. It's him this year. I also hit incredibly well with Giambi who is my DH but I just got Sheffield....hmmm.

I like Bernie too and used him for awhile until the 98 Mantle came out and that was it for Bernie lol. I would love to put Bellinger in at 1B for Ruth but no way it's worth it to lose those boosts. I just hope they change that and at least allow the option of putting Ruth on the bench and still giving the boost.

I didn't get Schlittler because his control is terrible. He doesn't even have one pitch with even average control, everything is really bad. You are probably better at pitching then I am!!! maybe I'll give him a try

Mine are now batting clutch instead of Arm strength and H/9 instead of K/9, the rest the same and everything is a bonus of 6 when all were 5 with Gil. That's with the Fried card you got with the team affinity AS voucher. He's a 95 OVR. So with Ruth/Gil, all were 5 but with Ruth/Fried all are 6

Of course it is. I just made a comment to MrNintendo's reply about the pitchers. Max Fried's AS card is also a NY captain. Have they changed it all or is Fried giving a bigger bonus? With him, all the bonus categories on tier 3 are 6. Plus a couple of the bonus attributes are different now.

Yes, not nearly as many diamond Yankees pitchers as hitters. I still use Gill. The Max Fried AS card is also a Yankees pitching captain option now and has slightly different bonuses unless they changed everything? Mine are all now a bonus of 6 in all categories on tier 3. Either they changed it or Fried gives a bigger bonus.

yeah I mentioned that in my original post...can stick the pitcher in as your 5th starter and never use him and there is no reason you shouldn't be able to put your hitter on the bench although that is a waste of a more valuable spot then the 5th SP.

I have a feeling this isn't an issue for very many except the Yankees fans with loaded teams lol. 85 Ruth as the captain and now about 15th on the hitters depth chart lol. Plus he can't field or run.

As I said, totally ridiculous and unfair. And as I posted in another thread my hitting captain is Ruth OVR 85 who has to be in my starting lineup to get the bonus. That's stupid and should not be the case at this point. Should not be the case that he's not good enough to be in my team.

But I'm sure there will be a 99 Ruth card in the near future lol.

Yes, ALL the captains were good and useful at the start of the game and for quite a long time. But now people are running into the problem of having better players at that position but can't afford to replace him. Or, even put him on the bench since doing that negates the bonus.

Well it's pretty stupid that at this point I have 10 Yankees hitters better than Ruth (who is also a terrible fielder and can't run) who is the only hitter captain and I have to play him. At least if I could put him on the bench it would help even if it becomes a wasted bench spot.

As someone just said chemistry would be much better. He was also a good addition at the start of the game but now has no use. And I'm sure most other people are running into this on their teams as well.

Yes, I play Madden and that works and Chemistry is and has been a very prominent theme in FC 25 (formerly called FIFA) forever and it works great. I would love to see them switch to that.

Oh, I get it and totally agree. It is STUPID how many great Yankees cards there are. I assume, as someone said, they have determined that the majority of people playing are Yankees fans which is still no excuse at all

So use the FC 25 format.... works for me and something I'm very used to.

I lost count long, long ago on the number of "good" swings that I have fouled off or even missed the pitch! It's been dozens and dozens. I could accept some fouls but generally you'd think you be at least putting the ball in play.

I'm a huge Yankee fan with 18 Yankees on my team to get the maximum boosts but I actually agree with this post. Not only did they just add Sheffield but also a 98 OVR Bellinger in the spotlight. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get one or both in my starting lineup which is a nice thing I guess but certainly does point out how they introduce too many Yankees, far too quickly. Every time they add one I think "this doesn't seem fair and is certainly going to [censored] a lot of people off." I would be quite fine if they cut back/slowed down on Yankees additions. Not starting now, but from the start.

I like how they work but at this point, there are very few, if any of the original 60 captains (hitter & pitcher for each team) that are good enough to be in anyone's starting lineup.

With the pitchers it's not a huge deal since you can make one your 5th starter and depending on what/how you play never pitch him. And it would be ok, but not ideal, if you could have your hitter captain on the bench but that doesn't count, he has to be in the starting lineup. If you are getting the max. bonus that's quite significant to lose that.

I know a few/some new, much higher OVR captains have been introduced in the past week or so but there needs to be some sort of overhaul much quicker. At least allowing to put a hitter captain on the bench would help and certainly be something that could be set up quickly and easily.
