I'm probably average at all the showdowns but complete them all.
This one is stupid.
I had Soto in the leadoff spot.
First boss he homered on the first pitch to complete that one.
Second boss, SF on the first pitch to complete that one.
Third boss, 3 run homer on the 2nd pitch (first pitch was a ball) to complete that one.
Last boss, homered on the third pitch (first 2 were balls) and I was done.
I saw 7 pitches combined for the 4 bosses.
I never had an at bat with any other player I drafted except Soto. lol.
That was ridiculously easy/lucky but even without that start, you could almost compete that showdown with your eyes closed.
It is incredible to me how many posts like this there are.....it's a daily thing. Sometimes multiple people.
And imagine the people that don't post it.
And what are the odds, the other person will actually read the post?
And if he does, you've just made his day!
WOW.
I'm still waiting to see the situation where they BOTH post about the other quitting LOL.
There actually needs to be a separate category in the community Forum titled "Freeze Offs."

double checked-
Team Record: 62-34 (= 96) x 3.1 = 297.6
My Player: 335 Plate Appearances
League BA Leader: (same # of games) 322 PAAlso of note:
In League > Statistics > Player Statistics > Season - Position Players (shows stats of team's entire roster)
and
In League > Statistics > Player Statistics > Season - Second Basemen
No hitting stats at all are shown at all for my 2 Way player- it seems like two way players tagged with SP are not recognized as a position player alsoMy info:
Xbox One
RTTS mode
SP/2B two way player
I'm on PS5 and I noticed all this 2+ weeks ago so it clearly has been incorrect all along for many.
Like you, the only league leaders I show up in are the categories that don't have plate appearance or Innings pitched requirements regardless of having qualified
And as you pointed out, you are never listed in the team hitting stats only pitching.
When I was in AA I wasn't listed on the organizational roster the entire year.
You get loads of XP in Conquest. 3 inning games, pretty easy to win and you get 1500+ XP each game and a good chunk of stubs. I've already got over 125K XP just from Conquest alone.

My Ball Player is a 2-Way player that is a full time SP. The first 2 seasons he did not have enough PA to qualify but I'm in the middle of the 3rd season and have 486 PA in 141 team games (3.44 PA) and still don't qualify when I look at the league leaders. Did they design the game to never allow a full time SP to lead the league in these categories?
It took a few years until the awards actually registered.
The first maybe 2 years I led all 3 hitting categories but it never registered my batting average even though I was well above.
I noticed a season or so later it finally started to keep track and I won the golden crown
What's the "golden crown?" Or did you mean the Triple Crown?
I asked this question a week ago when I got to the bosses and was told the xp boost for inning 2 was likely going to be nerfed this year but who knows for sure. Apparently last year it equaled about 1/4 of your progress for inning 2.
The thing is if you play a lot and there are no server issues!!!!!! you can get XP quite easily and quickly and locking those 3 cards to your collection, making them unsellable might not be what you want to do.
I'm going to wait and see how it looks.
I homered on the 3rd pitch I saw. I'm thinking I got lucky it didn't turn into a 1/2 hour nightmare. lol

Dan is my friend in RL. We grew up together. Graduated together from the same high school in 1980. Zach also went to the same high school.
bro you're almost 60 playing ps4??? lol i aspire to be you one day
I have a PS5. Why is that a thing?
I think he was saying it's awesome you are still playing video games when you're so "old" and he hopes he is too at that age.
BTW, I'm 68 and playing MLB, FIFA, WOW, CYBERPUNK and many, many more.
I love how all the young'uns can't believe anyone over the age of 50 still has enough brains left to play video games. lol
Rule 5.08 in the MLB Rules:
APPROVED RULING: One out, Jones on third, Smith on first, and Brown flies out to right field. Two outs. Jones tags up and scores after the catch. Smith attempted to return to first but the right fielder’s throw beat him to the base. Three outs. But Jones scored before the throw to catch Smith reached first base, hence Jones’ run counts. It was not a force play.
I love Boggs, have always hit great with him. I got Eddie Murray as soon as his card came out and he is awesome for me, easily the best all around hitter on my team which like everyone now is all 99's. Being a switch hitter helps and he's a good fielder.
I've noticed that problem for years. The runners sometimes "freeze" on a line drive or fly ball that could be caught but then don't move after the ball drops in or is caught. So I've seen them fail to advance or fail to return to the base and get doubled off.
You really have to keep your eye on them.
I Highly recommend buying the packs in the store and not waiting to grind for them. I put Mattingly and Ford in my squad along with 14 other Yankees to get the tier 3 bonus. Basically filled the bench and most of the pitchers with any and all Yankees lol. I was surprised how much those bonuses really affected the players. The diamonds like Cole, Mantle, Miller, etc. all went up 4-5 levels, Ford and Mattingly both went up 6 levels. The only gold (Torres) went up 5 levels and all the silvers went up 7 levels. It makes a huge difference to someone like Holmes who went from a 79 and doesn't make the team, to a useful 86.
I created my RTTS 2 way player during early access....still playing him with no issues in that regard.
Well this is disappointing. I've noticed he also doesn't load into DD with whatever upgrades and levelling you've accomplished in RTTS.
This basically makes him as weak as can be on DD and not even worth using.

This happened to me as well.
Strangely not only did my number change but about 2 months in it changed back to the number I wore in AA and AAA. Then about a week later it changed to the wrong number again.
And even more strange was the next game after that I was running on 3rd base and noticed the 3rd base coach had the same number! lolAnd in reference to what Car RamRod mentioned, on the player profile, my number is still my original one so there is nothing to "change back."
Not sure if you understood what I meant about changing. Here’s an example. I got called up to the Mets. I wore 9 in the minors, which on the Mets belongs to Brandon Nimmo. So when I got to the Mets they gave me 10. I didn’t want to be 10, so I went to My Player and changed my number from 9 to 18. Then at the start of my second season, Nimmo was gone from the Mets (traded or free agency, not sure) so I went back into My Player and changed my number back from 18 to 9.
I totally understood what you said. It didn't work for me and on top of that they gave me the same number as the 3rd base coach.
That is odd. Only time I’ve ever had it happen is when another player has my preferred number. I’m
Not sure if the coaches’ numbers matter or not. If I ever run into the same problem, I’m coming right here to let you know about it lol.
Did you see my other post yesterday?
I started as #13 and then over the course of 30 games I was #14, 13, 14, 15, 13. I can't wait to log in later and see what my new number is lol.
@bturgeon90_psn said in Conquest Questions---opposing SP and vs. LHP/RHP lineups:
AI matches your pitching selection. If you chose your #1 then they start their #1. If you pick your 5th starter they also start #5.. there isn’t a way to see pregame, but you could check the rotation of the team your about to play, and plan that way.
Thanks for the information. I didn't even know they matched 1 v. 1 etc.
And I'll check the rotation.
That solves it.
Thanks again.
same here and I'll have my pitcher, who has great control, suddenly have a game where he struggles with it.
Kind of cool they've implemented that in the game since it is realistic.
@xelrojo44x_psn said in Out of position penalty:
The penalty is a 5% reduction in Arm Accuracy, Fielding, and Reaction for secondary positions.
I do not have a link for the source, but I heard SDS mention this in previous streams. The way to know the exact numerical penalty, is move a player to their secondary position, and review their new attributes.
Thanks for the info. I'm sure out of position must be much more severe. Probably 20% or more.
@seanstephans_psn said in Grinding through MiLB as a Pitcher is a joke:
I’m a 99 OVR Fielder. I’m a 91 OVR Pitcher. I have played several saves and started over.
I literally have 9 games with 15 or more K’s. One with 20–coincidentally the only game my manager let me pitch a complete game, or into the ninth. In 86 innings I have over 180 K’s and have had one single bad inning (2 walks and 2 hits). Allowed one HR and 3 runs this season on 25 hits and a handful of walks. Just grinding to get through the AS Break to be promoted to AAA.
What year are you in?
For me, 1/2 way through the 2021 season (my first season) I was called up to AAA. Around 55 games into 2022 I was called up to the majors. I think at the time I was about an OVR 80 for both.
I know when I got called up to AAA I was definitely still at silver in at least one of them, I'm pretty sure both.
All along I leveled the pitcher and hitter about the same by using both a lot in DD as well where it's easier. The DD goals and repeatables are all easier and you can just pound out games on rookie vs. cpu or conquest for both.
It seems like you have thrown quite a few more innings then I did in AA and probably more at bats.
Maybe keeping both at a similar level is the difference?
