Opponent scored on force out to end inning?
-
My opponent had first and third 1 out. He stole with his runner on first and hit a routine fly ball to center. I then doubled him up at first to end the inning, but they credited him with a run scored to give him the lead. I came back and won so it didn’t effect the outcome, but that’s definitely a bug as a run can’t score when a force out is made to end the inning

I think the Pirates need you to help them with this rule

That wasn’t a force play...

Doubling him off at first? That’s a force out. I played baseball for 20 years. You can’t score on that.
Realizing I’m wrong and came off as a douche... -

He scored off the tag on the catch, Before you could make the double play to the guy who was already an active base runner
-
If the out is made BEFORE the run can score it will be disallowed. If it scored and then the out is made...its counted.
-
Rule 5.08 in the MLB Rules:
APPROVED RULING: One out, Jones on third, Smith on first, and Brown flies out to right field. Two outs. Jones tags up and scores after the catch. Smith attempted to return to first but the right fielder’s throw beat him to the base. Three outs. But Jones scored before the throw to catch Smith reached first base, hence Jones’ run counts. It was not a force play.

You’re missing the point. I know what you’re saying. A force out would mean he’d have to be “forced” into next base, which he wasn’t. If the run scored before the putout at first, the run does indeed count.
For a guy who played for twenty years, you should know that

Look mister, don't question my greatness or try to help me, I already know everything. I didn't come here to learn or get help, I came here to complain. Don't ever question me again.
There, I'd expect something like this from Mr. 20 years soon

I stand corrected. They consider it a timing play my apologies. To be fair it’s a pretty rare play and I’m still not certain he scored before the out

Nah I’m owning up to it. I was wrong. I thought it was considered a force to end the inning but they treat it as a timing play. To be fair Idk if I’ve ever seen it happen in a game I played or watched

Sorry for coming off like a tool. Sometimes you’re just wrong, unless you’re a woman!
I was in a 9-8 sweaty and it was a bang bang play. Now that I’m out of the game I realize it’s a timing play and not a force.

Interesting, so when she says she’s looking for the’ right’ guy she actually means the “wrong” guy.

I’m married. If your wife says you’re wrong, no matter how right you are, you’re still wrong
