The current system to allow adjustment of rosters is insufficient. For example, the live roster stops updating transactions at the end of the regular season and adjusting the roster under Create > Roster Control does not allow you to make the necessary changes on your own. For example, the Phillies currently have Jean Segura, Kyle Gibson, and Brad Hand as free agents but the only way to reflect that is to go under Player Movement and swap their place on the Phillies roster with someone else who is listed as a free agent. And if they sign someone, even a minor league free agent, someone has to be swapped off the roster to the free agent pool. Similarly, to add Daz Cameron to the Baltimore Orioles (he was recently claimed off waivers) a player from the Orioles has to be swapped with him. It’s not right, the roster control needs to allow the player to have complete control.

Also, there is no real online guide to how to completely control rosters so you can create your own “custom” roster outside of franchise mode.

The trade system is lackluster and is in dire need of improvement. Bring able to only trade a maximum 3 players for 3 players with no finances involved is little league. NHL’s franchise mode allows trading up to 5 players / draft picks and swapping salaries, so if I want to trade an expensive player for a less costly one, I can assume some of the money. You can also bring in a third team if need be. In short - it’s more realistic. MLB The Show needs to make trading in the game more realistic. Let the players get more creative PLEASE.
