First off let me say thank you for being possibly the only person who follows this. If there are others. Thank you as well.
NOTE: I saw the Cubs tradetraded Merrifield at the deadline. There were other trades but they didnt seem as big as this one.
Below are standings updates for august 10th.
AL East: My Red Sox are tied atop the division with the Yankees both at 70-48. The Ray's are hanging around 6 games back. Blue Jay's a long shot at 10 games back. Orioles very much out 30 games back.
AL Central: Twins lead 72-48. White Sox in second 11 games back. Indians, 14 games Royals 17 games and Tigers 28 games back.
AL West: Astros lead 76-41. Rangers second 14 games back. Athletes 17 games, Angels 25 and Mariners 29 games back.
AL Wild Card: Red Sox or Yankees & Ray's take the top 2 spots. Rangers, White Sox, Blue Jay's, Athletics, Indians, Royals in striking distance under 10 games back.
NL East: Mets lead 70-48. Braves .5 games back. Phillies 11 games, Nationals 14 games & Marlins 15 games back.
NL Central: Cubs lead 71-48. Cardinals 12 games back. Reds 15 games. Brewers 19 games & Pirates 23 games back.
NL West:Dodgers lead 82-38. Diamondbacks 10 games back. Padres 19 games, Giants 40 games and Rockies 41 games back.
NL Wild Card: Diamondbacks & Braves take the top spots with only the Padres hanging around less than 10 games back.
With what appears to be 49 days left in the season no teams are technically eliminated yet though there are several real long shots and a lot of clear cut contenders. From here on out I will continue updates on my team along with elimination and play off clenches from around the leauge.
