Imagine people being mad that a stat in a video game, that will become an afterthought in 2 months, doesn't register.

I have been saying since it was announced the new 30 or 40 win WS reward in RS would lead to this exact issue. The other half of the problem is people who can’t make WS complained that they couldn’t get the reward so SDS listened and didn’t think it thru.

I hate that people want to tank for easy wins, but if there is an exploit, certain people are going to do it.

I understand your frustration though and while I hate dashboarders, I can’t say I don’t see your side of the coin here.

How do they resolve it?

Get rid of the Program pack and just have rewards linked to making RS? Then you have casuals complaining.

Set it so that the Program Reward pack, obtained by getting 'X' amount of wins be a non-sellable card? That won't work either.

Have you played the game this year? They have been banning people left and right, a lot just from downloading, this type of stuff. No telling how many hundreds or thousands have been banned. Dozens have came on this forum alone. Most of them didnt even know what they did, "supposably".

Well then evidently this player snuck through the cracks because it showed that they had over 400 games played in RS.

I reported them. But it doesn't matter because they'll only get blocked for the rest of 21.

Then they'll just remake the icon in 22.

They'll cancel, or delete, cards of players due to sexual harassment accusations; yet they'll allow 'children' to upload pornographic symbols to be used as a team icon and will also allow pornographic team names.

You have just lost me as a supporter of your product.

What are you talking about? If we had dedicated servers there would be no dashboard disconnects. And yes I’m well aware that it’s likely not going to happen but other games have implemented cooldown periods like what I just described to deter dashboarding. In fact COD did exactly this prior to their game moving to Dedicated Servers several years back. And yes the devs have tools that can be implemented to detect illegal disconnects. And before you say something like a power outage happening or a random internet outage the cooldown period would only affect those who are habitual offenders. Meaning they would have to do it several time within a given period of time for this punishment to take effect. Someone who has the unfortunate power outage or internet outage would not qualify for a cooldown unless they too have been dashboarding throughout a given period of time. And yes there are tools that can track this with relative ease. It wouldn’t take much to code in the penalty. Maybe next time do some research before you write stuff that you have no clue what your talking about. Btw, when someone dashboards disconnects the play cannot count because it’s not a dedicated server. The reason for this is that the P2P connection has been interrupted. This is why people do it. It’s as if the previous play never happened.

Since I can't figure out how to isolate part of a quote; I'll refer to your last three sentences and reiterate my statement.

Until SDS switches to dedicated servers you'll have people dashboarding because they know the play WON'T count.

If people realize that the play will still count if will eliminate some of the dashboarding.

People may still dashboard because they just want to dashboard.

Punishing someone for something that has NO BEARING other than keeping people from obtaining stats won't happen.

Now, if dashboarding stopped the game from completing, thus resulting in a situation like it wasn't played, then there could be justification for punishing someone.

But losing a stat is miniscule at best and has no other bearing other than the player needs to accomplish it again.

Besides, if you hit 450 Homeruns with a player compared to 500; you the hell cares.

Insider's Edge. Live Series players OVR, during the season can fluctuate, in game, based on how they perform against that team in real life.

Actually, I just had MS Kluber go yellow after 18 pitches. But he lasted until the last out in the second because my opponent was a 'free-swinger'.

So, I was wrong in my print reply. Seems about right for an Events game.

How does someone with that much stamina go into the yellow after throwing only 15 pitches in an Event game?

Anyone else notice that when you match up with one of these players, whether you're home or away, the connection is already cruddy?

What is everyone's thoughts on SDS changing to auto-assigned stadiums, like how they have it set up in this event.

Pros:
Don't have to worry about someone selecting a stadium that has lag.

Don't have to worry about someone selecting a stadium that has a bad batter's eye when they select a specific time of day/season/weather scenario.

Don't have to worry about playing in certain stadiums (Shippett)

Cons:

Can't play in Shippett unless it's assigned.

Can't really think of any other cons.

But I still stand by my prediction that we get an East and a West division Event the next two weeks before we get the Forever Event.

I just noticed that I'm sitting at 0/20(?) and just finished an Event game.

Anyone else having issues with stats not registering?

It has to be Otani.
He's arguably the best player in the game, is an international superstar, and a good kid.
Or keep it going with the youth movement-- Juan Soto, etc.

I was thinking the same thing once the other person mention him; but if they're going to have a huge player like Jeter; they would want to make him a Collection Reward.

Can't imagine having a cover athlete and them releasing a decent card late in the year.

How do you think a Jeter card would actually translate to the show? High contact, low 80s power, silver, maybe gold defense when paralleled, and 70s speed with no secondary positions. Good card but he won't be the best shortstop for very long. He'd have to be released before any of the other good shortstops to be a starter.

And then someone will accuse him if assault and they won't release another version.

Someone else posted that he has some kind of assault charges, from years ago, so I guess SDS isn't putting out a higher card.

I mean it it like Bauer has charges against him and he's still in the game.
