I've had similar experiences. I believe in order to complete this challenge you have to get perfect on the throwing meter, or whichever form of pitching interface you use. If you are getting perfect releases when you do this then the challenge is probably glitched.

It is not 80, what you get with equipment is like what you get on increases in a game. When you look at your attributes you will see that you need a number of points to increase to the next level of one. So lets just say you need to get 55 points to go from a 60 to a 61 in contact and you have equipment that gives you 10. then you have 10 points toward the the 61. I hope this is clear because it can be confusing. So when you get to 99 plus 10 for equipment you don't have 109 you have 99 plus 10 toward 100
I don't think this is correct. You can only level your player to a certain point (99), so if what you suggest is true once you get a specific attribute to 99 then the equipment bonus becomes useless because no combination of equipment would give you enough points to surpass 100. I believe the equipment increases your overall so that if your speed is 99 and you have cleats that give +8 speed, then your speed becomes 107 (99+8). Perhaps SDS could clarify.
You misunderstood what i said. let me clarify, the points you get from equipment is not a level increase like when you get to 99. It is equal to what you get in a game to get to a level. Think of it as each level has a percentage gained in each game. This is why you see the bar at the end that shows the increase. when you have equipment it gives you the same thing even beyond 99. So if you have an attribute that is at 99 and you have equipment that gives you a +10 then you have 99 plus a percentage of what would be the next level even though there is not a next level so you would have for instance 99.22 or 99.35. Is that a bit cleare? That is why when you look at your attributes and your OVR it shows the increase of the equipment in brackets.
I understand what you are saying here, but I still disagree. It seems to me that if what you say is accurate then the equipment bonus is completely useless. The difference between 99 and 99.35 seems like it would be completely negligible in terms of any boost to the attribute.

I signed the QO for one more year. Does that mean I'm an unrestricted FA next year?
yes

I have a couple of answers to your question. In relation to other modes available within the game, an RTTS created player has no real advantage other than possibly giving you an opportunity to practice playing against the computer, which is possible in other modes. The answer to whether a created player is worth it is wholly dependent on you, and what you consider worth your time. Personally, I enjoy creating a player and progressing through the career. However, other than some personal goals and trying to win, there really is not any objective other than to play as well as you can. At the end of the day, give it a try, if you don't get any enjoyment from it then it's probably not worth your time.

I use a Hyper X Cloud headset. Good noise canceling, comfortable on the head, and you can remove the mic if you don't need it. $70 on Amazon.

I have been on here several times over the years saying how SDS developers lack some basic baseball knowledge. today I saw another example of it. I have a SP for the Indians and I was playing against the Red Sox when Raphael Devers started to argue with the 1B umpire. Then the 1B coach stepprd in and that is when I noticed he was wearing number 9. Anybody with any baseball knowledge at all knows that 9 with the Red Sox is retired because that was Ted Williams number. I know it is a simple thing and has no affect on game play but it just proves my point i have been making for a long time.
How do you know the first base coach isn't the ghost of Ted Williams?
Because it didn't look like him
Reincarnation?

Wait, you're players can argue!? Is this a thing?
It just occurs as a random animation after a close play at first. Nothing comes of it, and you have no control over it. It adds a little bit of realism though.

Sometimes you get chances to raise it by completing the in-game challenges

If you are in your final year before free agency, and the last year of your contract then it is possible. If your team is not a contender then sometime in June your agent should call to see if you are open to being traded to a contender. It is not a guarantee, but I think it is more likely than when you ask for a trade normally.
-
It appears as an option when you talk to your agent. I think you can only switch to the position that you were forced to switch to in AA though.
-
I am not 100% sure on this, but I believe a player's potential has an effect on promotion. I think the only way to lower your potential is to perform poorly in the showcase games. You might just create a player and sim to see if this works.

Here's a few things I have noticed while playing as a pitcher. As a SP, the team will occasionally make roster moves that result in a player that has a higher overall joining the team (promotion/demotion, trades, injuries, etc.). This sometimes results in my SP or another being moved into the bullpen briefly and then returning to the rotation, so that accounts for the extended length between starts. Also, when you are progressing, if your overall increases or you play exceptionally well, your player may get moved up in the rotation, which changes the length between starts briefly. If this happens consistently over time, then it may be a bug, or an issue with the AI. Regarding the CP, I have had closers where their role is not listed as closer. They are still listed under the closer category but may be classified as MLB/AAA/AA setup or bullpen with another pitcher being classified as the closer. Again, this is usually the result of the overall being lower than another pitcher on the team. That being said, baseball is an ever-evolving sport where roles consistently change (ex. the use of an opener as opposed to a starter). It is also worth noting that this is a video game not real life, so yes, there may be some issues like those you have described, but at the end of the day I am still able to enjoy playing it.

During a Twitch stream a reward will be dropped into your Twitch inventory at different times. In order to receive a reward, your Twitch and PSN accounts must be linked. The more/longer you watch, the more rewards you will receive. For example, I watched about 80% of the dev tournament stream and was rewarded 4 standard packs. The rewards will be automatically delivered to your in game inventory. Hope this helps.

You might try going into 19 and progressing a few days there, and then transferring your player to 20. I had an issue where my SP's stats weren't showing up in 20 and this resolved the issue. The year shouldn't matter so long as you have progressed at least 1 year beyond the title year of the game (i.e. 21 in 20, 20 in 19, and so on). Hope this helps.

I have seen it a few times. My RF has done it twice resulting in a home run and a double, and my SP gave one up that resulted in a double. I think it happens more in dd because more swings are being taken. Like you I have had it happen quite a bit more there.
