I think that overalls are seemingly moving up faster because sds is looking at the calendar year (almost pretending that the game started in March) for promo release dates and stuff like that. For example, The 3rd inning program last year had 95 overalls, similar to the 2nd inning program this year. Also, this years April monthly awards had similar overalls to last years April monthly awards. Lastly, TA 2 came around the same time that TA 2 came out last year, even though TA 1 last year began earlier that ta1 this year.

What this could mean:

• The 4 inning program will have all 99s

• Mlb 22 will most likely release on time

• The may monthly awards will have a 97 lightning player

• Most huge promos will match up to last years dates, although there will probably be more collections and maybe some other new promos

I don't recommend doing this.

I'd much rather just play and enjoy the game instead of trying to cheat the game! So you waste all your time trying to cheat the game, just to get some rewards that you would get by just playing the game!

Maybe if you played the game, you would get better at the game and not have to cheat the game!

Yeah I think I’ll buy all of the cheap headliners around any flash sales so I’m stocked for the big collection

Yeah plus his card is never that good because of the power meta. It sucks because my dad’s favorite player is “Donnie baseball”, but I’m not really able to use him on my main team.

I honestly think the prestige system last year led to people taking this route

I prefer just playing online normally to progress parallels and events are great for that

You need 8 Plate appearances or a win for PXP to count

I assumed you could just throw an inning, hope to get a few Ks, rinse and repeat

Seems they are trying to avoid that from happening in events like last year

Like others are saying, plate discipline is the most important thing in showdown. Also, sit high fastball, that’s where I usually get fastballs.

So.. for example, if you were a world series player one season but you lost 2 games the next season (possibly because of rng), you have to grind your way back up? Or conversely, if you are a bad player and win five games in a row but in those 5 games you got lucky or just played the best games of your life. I feel like that wouldn't be fair for either player, because the good player would have to play a ton of games (probably crushing most of their opponents, resulting in more unhappy players. Also, for the bad player, they would (most likely) be crushed by superior competition.

The addition would also most stress the servers (with everyone coming on). Plus, the point about having to use a certain amount of diamonds is stupid (I am not insulting you personally) because the reason a lot of people grind in this game is to be able to use the cards they want in ranked seasons, not be limited by restrictions. If you don't want to see God squads, play events or be. Sorry for the long post.
