I had base runners dissappear on me 4 or 5 times during a showdown game. Most of the cases it was a runner on the 3rd. I thought at first that someone was thrown out but then I paid more attention and they are just gone in the middle of an at bat. Anyone else reported similar issues? I've been playing on Xbox ussing xcloud.

I agree, it's worth testing out. Ps remote is absolutely shait in terms of latency so wouldn't even compare xcloud to ps remote. I think with a good wifi connection or wired when available on windows you should be able to get a good game against cpu, and online, who knows..

I thought about ps version as always but now mlb the show is coming to xcloud as well so you don't even need an Xbox. I will check xcloud first as it's coming to windows/ios hopefully by the end of the month as well. If latency in online play is an issue you could still do some grinding on your phone wherever, just imagine the possibilities, can't wait!

The same way someone prestiged Felix in one game.
Please elaborate on this I’m confused.
Someone froze the score I’m pretty sure. They probably did that and made it impossible for the other guy to do anything. Which leads to Felix getting unlimited stuff for prestige
How can you freeze the score??
cough ehm asking for a friend cough

I have used him as my opening guy for a short while, and he was good. I've replaced him with Ellsbury, as he's got more pop.

Have you guys experienced a pitching glitch, when you miss the pitch, and the ball is heading wide, but then a glitch happens and it readjusts itself and goes down the middle? It usually results in a bomb too lol
-
I picked Oswalt as well, and he is a really good pitcher. Just recently I bought Helton and will try him for a while, as I believe he's the most overlooked 1B. He's got good power and is one of the best defenders at first.

@chuckm1961 said in 1hr/day what would you recommend?:
It completely depends on your goal. There is not one answer. What do you want out of the game?
Have fun online and maybe eventually finish collections (I'm 4 players away)

I limited my time on MTS20 to 1h/day. What would you recommend is the best use of an hour? Grinding showdowns? Play 1-2 ranked seasons game? Events?

The Game is so toxic this year, that I struggle to find any enjoyment. Online game is laggy, playing against cpu is boring, hitting and pitching can be frustrating. I've put in 100+ hours and got initially got excited with the new cards and content, even beating showdown was satisfying. Now I have full DD team, reached 500+ in RS, but force myself to play these long 9 inning boring games where it's always decided by a HR on badly thrown pitch. The games don't resemble anything like the real games, everyone stuck their line ups with power hitters.
Where do you guys find enjoyment? Any other game (non sports) there is an endgame, you finish a story and move on. What's your endgame in MLB?

I've done it using directional on the 2nd try, 1st game Al was for 4 for 5 with 2 HR and 2 doubles, and then collecting 7 more hits took another 3 games
-
As the 2nd inning is only 600, what happens if you max out and still time left before 3rd? They could add an option to transfer stars from online play to 1st inning.

This morning:
Bought 10 pack - pulled deGrom -> sold him as already have him, bought 50 pack, pulled only Kershaw, sold some golds and silvers, bought another 10 pack and pulled Arenado lol -
Hi All, I see a lot of people struggling with 2nd Inning showdown so I decided to write some of my thoughts and tactics:
-
Draft - Hanley and Schoop a must, power hitters over 60, fireballer RP to score easy closer missions
-
Hitting - I play zone on RS, but find directional easier for showdown and better fits the CPU battle. If you decide to use directional, power hitters pull (arrow towards the hitter) every time, contact hitters no influence
-
Do all the missions and mini battles - it will earn you runs and diamond perks/players to make the final showdown easier, you can skip to the end or semi skip but if you are struggling and reading this guide then do all of them, if you can't put 4 runs with 13 outs, you won't complete the final one either witouth the extra diamonds
-
1st mini boss battle - rearrange your line up to make 123 hitters become 456, so in bases loaded ramirez will still hit clean up
-
2nd mini boss battle - Bieber requires only 1 run so use it to your advantage and don't skip
-
HR mission, on directional pull and up towards the hitter and eventually your hitter will hit a long one if you time it right on a fastball
-
Final showdown, take two strike approach in the beginning to tire pitcher out, Giles is the easiest one to defeat, but once the stamina drops, you need to change the approach and sit on fastballs whenever in the count, tired pitchers will throw more hangers early in the count rather than on 3-2 from my experience
