I don’t know, starting out with 40s across the board to me is boring and unrealistic. If you want to be a well rounded player and start like that feel free but to force everyone to is restrictive and unrealistic. Min maxing is not only a video game staple but it also makes some of the best ball players of all time. Big Papi doesn’t need 40 speed and Ichiro doesn’t need 40 power.

Does anybody want archetype players back? I.e like power hitting big guys, speedy contact hitters or big arm outfield and catchers.
Also I’d like the attribute set up like they do on nba 2k games where you set what your max stats can be and work towards that.
Can we all agree as well that if you are draft eligible and a D1 recruit when you are playing in high school you should be the best player on the field? My suggestion would be to have your maxed out stats that you set up and play a couple games in high school move on to college or the pros and get it bumped down to a starting value and start building up.

This also happened to me going to have to stop playing until they fix it

** UPDATES FROM EASY TO IMPOSSIBLE **
-
starting from 20 base everything instead of 40 and being able to have higher values in what you want your career to at the start
-
Archetype builds that effect stats i.e taller heavier guys being slower and stronger than small skinny guys.
-
Setting your max stats you can become at the start of your career and then playing at that max level while you are in high school and maybe 70-80% when you go to college and then after you get drafted starting at normal starting level you’d be now

A Personality that affects decisions. Picking if you start in a giant baseball program school or if you are the best player on a small team.
-
Coach/organization trust levels. Don’t be taken out of the game in a crucial spot but also have negative effects like a decrease in your stats and repercussions if you fail
Would love to discuss in more depth about any of these and the likely hood of this happening

UPDATE *
Would people enjoy a different structure of upgrading points? Keep it at the same 40s across the board but select a group that drastically reduces token costs and make the other areas raise as well. So in example you could choose to be a speedy fielder but sacrifice power and or contact growth to raise your prime stats faster. I would also suggest keeping an all rounder build that would be the same as the base play so your not actually losing anything either.
