WATCH OUT for this cheat

So I was playing a guy in RS. Beating him pretty badly. He let his time run down to around 5 seconds. Continued the game for a while. Then eventually he paused to the menu again and the second he “ran out of time” he sends a friendly quit. I normally wait a while to press SQUARE to make sure they are aware of what is going on first. Apparently I pressed it too fast, and he had sent a friendly quit instead to make it seem like he ran out of time. I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest SDS makes the “accept” button (SQUARE) different for friendly quits vs. time running out. No wonder the guy’s record was decent compared to his actual skill. Haha. Good on him for getting out of a loss, I guess, but I’m still irritated.

Thats been around for a while. Always read the screen. Toxic players should get suspensions.

It’s weird. I normally wait a WHILE to make sure the other player is paying attention. Not sure why I clicked it so fast. Those types of players annoy me. Can’t imagine how fun it must be to do that probably every single game you’re about to lose. Haha.

This little scam has been around for a long time, and unfortunately it’s obvious that SDS just doesn’t care. This would be an extremely easy fix in a patch, but they seem to be ok with it the way it is. It sucks but I guess it is what it is.

Yeah it would probably a whole lot of work for something they aren’t even worried about. It’s funny though because I’ve been playing this game online since online was available and I don’t easily fall for things like this. I guess when you do fall for one, you know it has been a while since someone tried scamming you. I’ll wear this one and move on.
