Do high demands hold their value?

First time playing The Show is this season, and I’m wondering if high demand cards typically hold their value for months or if they begin to steadily lose value. I just got lucky and pulled a Scherzer from a headliner pack and was wondering if I should sell him now and buy him back cheaper later or if the high diamond cards typically retain their value. Thanks for any advice.
