These two modes are clearly designed for the upper echelon players. I'm a very below average player and there is zero chance of getting 50 wins or going 12 and 0.

Don't give me the "get better" line. Even getting better improves my chances minimal. Anyway that's my two cents worth after two years of achieving nothing on both of those modes.

I think you mean RS and BR instead of events and BR.

There’s no penalty for losing in events, so as long as you just play you’re bound to get enough wins eventually.

No I do mean events and BR. At least in ranked seasons Im matched against somebody similar in skill level most of the time.

The whole point of having cumulative wins in events is so basically anybody can get the rewards if they want them, just some will do it faster than others.

I see what your saying but the randomness of who you are playing does not favor the lesser player. At least in ranked season there is a scale. As I win or lose the difficulty of the opponent changes. In these other modes I may face a guy who is off the charts good and I have no chance to win. I'm not saying it should be easy by any means, but when you basically eliminate a lesser player from being competitive what fun is that.

Yeah but what does it matter if you lose?

Just keep playing until you get matched with people you can beat, and beat them.

The events that are free to enter and don't really penalize you for losing are built for better players?

Also, BR is supposed to be that way, it's built for players who can go 12-0. That takes skill. It's not wrong to be built that way.

My only issue with events is when they do 6 inning games I don't have a ton of time to play long games I can sometimes play 3 RS games but that's normally when I get rage quits early in a game but to play a full 9 takes a long time so at most with 6 inning event games I can get maybe 6-10 if I happen to get some quits

The shorter games in events favour an upset quite a lot more than in a 9 inning RS game. Even against a similarly rated opponent, ranked games are sweaty.

My only problem with events is people circumventing pitcher stamina so I have to see Pearson, kopech, and Ohtani almost every game. They didnt think this one through that well me thinks.

That's why they gave us the option of just buying the reward cards instead, everybody wins! Can't say they don't think of all the differently skilled players.

At what point did I say I should just get it and not earn it? Never. I just said the competitive balance didn't make sense and it made the lesser player non competitive. Try reading comprehension someday, it may serve you well.

Competitive balance made the lesser player less competitive. I'm not sure that means what you think it means.

I feel your pain. I keep playing guys with World Series banners. I know my ability, and it’s rough to play guys I know are way better than me. That’s a setback to these long events. The better players have to hang around longer. I do try to use it as an opportunity to get better, but it is frustrating when you lose three in a row and all you’re trying to do is grind out a couple wins. Hopefully The weekend will bring around more of the casual players.

I just played a guy who was 33 and 9. This is what I run into constantly. I have 3 commons on my lineup because I don't spend money, so how could I compete against a better player who also may have deeper pockets, possibly. Competitive balance.

BR is a waste of time unless you’re one of those guys. As you say, it’s not realistic to expect to get 12-0 or 12-1 for most people. Events, you’re doing it wrong. Just quit the bad games because there’s no penalty. No reason to sit through a full 6 inning game, just quit and restart until you find a decent matchup.

I haven’t spent a single cent on the game, haven’t made WS, haven’t gone 12-0, and the only commons I have on my event roster are in the bullpen.
