Monitor help

I got my monitor in today and got it hooked up and played a RS game. I didn't notice any difference when it came to pitch speeds. Still late on fastballs. Is there a setting or something I missed? My monitor is 1ms and 240hz but ps4 only runs on 60hz. Really hope I didn't waste my money.

The thing is, you went from approximately 30-70ms input lag on a TV to approximately 10-15ms input lag on your monitor. Don't mistake the term "response time" for "input lag", 1ms input lag doesn't exist in these type of monitors.
Anyway, as you can see there is a difference, but the difference is not huge. I sometimes get the idea that people think that playing on a monitor is night and day difference. It's not. But it helps, that's a fact.
If you put 2 people with similar reaction time against each other, one on a TV and the other on a monitor, the guy on the monitor will have an advantage. But if your reaction time is simply not there, no hardware in the world will do the job for you. -

I think that's the case, yes. To make you feel any better; I've been playing on a monitor for about 3 years now. I didn't notice a huge difference in the beginning either, I had a very good TV with low input lag. But sometimes I hook my PS4 back to my 4K TV for the visuals and to just mess around a bit, and now I do feel as if I'm way slower because I'm so used to my monitor.

Did you get a 4k monitor or 1080p? Does your monitor have a game mode? I think some do. Do you play on a PS4 pro? Just make sure your display settings are optimized for each.

Did you get a 4k monitor or 1080p? Does your monitor have a game mode? I think some do. Do you play on a PS4 pro? Just make sure your display settings are optimized for each.
1080p, it does have game mode I think and no ps4 pro.

Don’t waste your $ for this game. If you play other games and want that for a monitor for that than so be it. Just get something that supports 4K for next gen. Monitor for this game won’t fix your problems
