I agree, it is a puzzling and disappointing move to release a card like that now.
The thing is, as this thread demonstrates, there are plenty of us in this community who have no problem using such a card, or a Vazquez card.
Some of us will go to any length to win online. I personally plunked Fotf Correa yesterday in a BR game and it felt good.

I honestly cant believe of ALL the issues this game has that THIS is one of them.
Worry about this garbage after the game gets fixed ffs.

I'm gonna pick it cause its a 99 overall with crazy hitting stats, good fielding and a good swing. Also because its a card in a video game and not real life.

I agree, they could’ve used a number of other cards instead of Jose Ramirez. But Jose Ramirez hasn’t been proven guilty of cheating in a World Series like Springer and the rest of the astros have been.

You are mistaken. My stance has nothing to do with supporting George Springer, and everything to do with wondering why you would even care about a virtual card in a video game being on a team that cheated. I wouldn't freak out if Ugeth Urbina was in the game, nor would I complain if any of the banned 1919 White Sox players made it
Can we get a Pete Rose card. We need a Shoeless Joe Card

It’s really just a puzzling pick by sds, accompanied by the worst the actual game play has been in the 3 years I’ve been playing. Out of all the cards they chose the one with the worst moral aesthetic, nice move guys

Yeah, I won’t fault anyone for using Springer, just a really odd choice from SDS given the multitude of cards at their disposal.
