Jackie Robinson missions. Take notes SDS.

I don't know how, but I finished all the offline missions by some major miracle. The two doubles and a stolen base was the hardest one for me, oddly.
But I want to point out a few things, if anyone at SDS is paying attention.
-
It would be nice for players who haven't beat these challenges if you let Robinson actually get a full leadoff, or extend his leadoff in these moments before the pitcher starts his windup. Especially when you are accelerating the counts to 1-1 2-2, etc. Not cool. Nothing like needing a stolen base to beat a challenge and the pitcher starts his windup before you can get a lead properly.
-
Stop making completing a program contingent upon playing completing some things online. Sure, you can get the Robinson diamond card if you beat all the offline and conquest challenges, but to get the rewards beyond that, you are forced to play online. And as a 40-something year-old player, I don't want the toxic nonsense that comes along with it. Give us the option to complete these offline if we choose. Tons of other customers are saying the same thing on here today.
-
I noticed that there were some offline missions left uncompleted in Jackie Robinson's Stage 1 of this program. But because I completed 35 Program points/stars/whatever in them, I cannot go back and get those points even if I complete those goals.
Huh? What kind of nonsense is that? Really?
Anyway, my two cents, and plenty of others on here today are posting the same thing.

Your pleas will fall upon deaf ears when it comes to SDS and you will be raked over the coals by the toxic "online only" players for DARING to suggest that offline players have a way to do things.
I wrote a thread about this a while back. I'd be willing to grind out the online stats offline at a 2:1 or 3:1 conversion rate to.
But ultimately, SDS doesn't give a rats tuchas about casual / offline players.

The good thing is these will be available all year and there’s the potential that Jackie could slide into an event lineup down the road. Online isn’t really that toxic though especially in the first couple RS divisions & for events who cares about record. Cheers.

So I go against what you say which is basically: offline only guys should get the same reward as online guys. DD is built around online play so I support there being online perks for achieving goals.
Side note: online game play has a low level of toxicity by the member base. Are there a few who fake bunt and try to use the knucklers? Sure. They are few and far between.
The sense of resentment the offline guys have towards the online crowd is off base. You guys just want them to conform the standards to what you're comfortable with.

You don’t need to lead off. I haven’t led off one and I never got caught doing the missions with SB.
-
The program is for the evolved Jackie card. You can get that without playing online. If you want all the bonus rewards, you’ll have to go online, just like those online players will have to play conquest. This isn’t unfair or insane. If you want all the rewards you have to play all the game.
-
You get 35 points from stage 1, and 75 from stage 2. That’s more than the total points. It makes sense. After finishing one stage, you move on to the next...

Yep. It's frustrating, too. I am grateful I have all diamonds in my lineup and then some, and have collected a ton of sets this season. But it takes away the incentive to play with limited offline things to do once you've beaten so many other things.
They need to realize that offline players would consider pumping more money into the game if they had more to do, or more incentive to do so. They are only hurting their own bottom line.

Are offline guys failing to see that online guys are forced to play offline?
I would love to never play any vs CPU games but I have to for cards. I don't want to play it, but I'm forced to achieve certain rewards. It goes both ways.

Standards?
No, we just don't want to have to play laggy, buggy online games with rage quitters, pausers, and juveniles who don't respect anyone because they are sitting at home in their parents' basements.
We want to relax and enjoy the game and have the same chance at unlocking rewards as those who play online all day. You say DD is built around online play, but really, it has more options of things to do offline than online. Almost all the missions they introduce are offline based. Conquest is offline based. Programs are offline.
Only ranked seasons and Battle Royale, basically, are online. What is wrong with having BOTH online and offline options to achieve those goals?
Nothing. No reason they cannot make both types of players happy at the same time. None.

Gee, maybe because for 95 percent of our adult lives, all video games were played offline and that's what some people enjoy?
It's like you online only players have an internet umbilical cord attached to your brains or something and cannot survive without it.

Umm, vs. CPU games aren't what we are talking about. Those are considered "offline." We are talking about missions where they force you to play head to head online against other real human beings.

I'm in my mid-30's
We probably grew up playing the same games. One of us will be the guy yelling at all the kids to get off our lawn or yelling at clouds and the other one will be the cool dad/grandparent all the kids actually want to be around.

"> No, we just don't want to have to play laggy, buggy online games with rage quitters, pausers, and juveniles who don't respect anyone because they are sitting at home in their parents' basements. "
This says everything about you we need to know.

You are correct, It says that I have respect for others and you have proven my point. Condescending responses are the ugly cousin of rage, my friend,
Have a great day, man.

Online is only toxic if you leave your messages open. Forgot to shut mine and last week I beat someone on a walk off and they messaged me, “I hope you get cancer”. My response was, “thanks, I just finished radiation and start chemo in a few weeks so looks like I’m ahead of you again”
-
Gross blanket generalizations are now considered respect.
Good to know
-
Off recent topic a bit but why have we been forced to go back to doubles and triples for missions? If I hit a HR I'm pen
alized again. Why not stick with xbh? -

It takes what like 3-5 games online? I think you'll survive lol

Using lol to disagree with someone shows emotional immaturity.

a lot of your points are excellent but i will say that i HATE offline moments and would prefer more ONLINE moments to counteradjust these nonsense 'total 7 base moments' etc.
