Are offline guys failing to see that online guys are forced to play offline?
I would love to never play any vs CPU games but I have to for cards. I don't want to play it, but I'm forced to achieve certain rewards. It goes both ways.
Umm, vs. CPU games aren't what we are talking about. Those are considered "offline." We are talking about missions where they force you to play head to head online against other real human beings.

I'm in my mid-30's
We probably grew up playing the same games. One of us will be the guy yelling at all the kids to get off our lawn or yelling at clouds and the other one will be the cool dad/grandparent all the kids actually want to be around.

Online is only toxic if you leave your messages open. Forgot to shut mine and last week I beat someone on a walk off and they messaged me, “I hope you get cancer”. My response was, “thanks, I just finished radiation and start chemo in a few weeks so looks like I’m ahead of you again”

I don't know how, but I finished all the offline missions by some major miracle. The two doubles and a stolen base was the hardest one for me, oddly.
But I want to point out a few things, if anyone at SDS is paying attention.

It would be nice for players who haven't beat these challenges if you let Robinson actually get a full leadoff, or extend his leadoff in these moments before the pitcher starts his windup. Especially when you are accelerating the counts to 1-1 2-2, etc. Not cool. Nothing like needing a stolen base to beat a challenge and the pitcher starts his windup before you can get a lead properly.

Stop making completing a program contingent upon playing completing some things online. Sure, you can get the Robinson diamond card if you beat all the offline and conquest challenges, but to get the rewards beyond that, you are forced to play online. And as a 40-something year-old player, I don't want the toxic nonsense that comes along with it. Give us the option to complete these offline if we choose. Tons of other customers are saying the same thing on here today.

I noticed that there were some offline missions left uncompleted in Jackie Robinson's Stage 1 of this program. But because I completed 35 Program points/stars/whatever in them, I cannot go back and get those points even if I complete those goals.
Huh? What kind of nonsense is that? Really?
Anyway, my two cents, and plenty of others on here today are posting the same thing.
a lot of your points are excellent but i will say that i HATE offline moments and would prefer more ONLINE moments to counteradjust these nonsense 'total 7 base moments' etc.

To point 1, you dont need to take a step to steal 2nd, and for third you can take a step, R1.
My problem was I was given control to steal, but with 2 strikes and 2 outs a lot, so it was foul balls or a K ending the inning. And doubles are stupid, I hit 2 HRs in 1 game, stupid. I love coming to the plate with runner on 2nd, get walked. Cant do either after that.

Didnt notice, I stole 3rd plenty. Stealing wasnt my problem as much as getting all 3 in one game.

Wait til the second pitch. I know sometimes the AB will end before that, but a lot of times you have an opportunity to wait a pitch.

This thread topic had good intentions when it started and then boiled into something else. Now it's coming across as a sense of entitlement for offline play. Always have to remember there are always more sides to a discussion, or argument...laws of debating.
Look, (as Skepple and a few others know that I've chatted with over the years and respect their input and opinions), I'm an offline (offline meaning no RS or BR) strictly player and I enjoy grinding, however I won't argue the online "rewards" offered. I'll complain about the asinine moments/missions yes BUT...
...the rewards are fair on both fronts because each gamer (I'm 49 btw) plays differently: offline and online. We get ours and they're allowed theirs.
We choose to not put up with H2H shenanigans, they do. They don't want to grind vs CPU, we do. Props to SDS for the constant struggle to juggle a fair route for both.
If we, offline players, want more then we'll happily dabble a bit in online. Like with Musial a couple years back ('18 if I remember correctly) I was all in.
Such as with life "you get what you give" and if you want more then you're going to have to put in a little extra.
Again, started good...in all honesty, offliners or onliners (this BS of elite and casual) are no different...some have more skill than others and in the reality of it all: we're all gamers that pick how we want to play (and I've been that way since '16).

its a joke bro, these devs think we are stupid or play us for idiots - veteran mode - if these guys were simply more transparent or had better ways of indicating that EACH MODE is RADICALLY DIFFERENT from the other maybe we wouldn't be so irritated
how can they expect people to practice when all of the sliders are a dogs breakfast? these guys honestly dont think so many things through properly where is the QC team
