They are going to have the offseason inning or whatever it’s called soon where all the XP path players will be readily available. I am guessing they will make the ultra rare players attainable somehow over the offseason.
I doubt this. They may make the WC cards available in the final WC again, but there will be probably be a new one added as well. Its is very unlikely they are made available outside of WC.
Witt, who knows. They may increase the odds. Or they may pull the card altogether.
I think they rather enjoy the prospect of someone buying 1m in stubs for these cards that will essentially become FOMO cards. Dont have the 1m to get in the queue early enough? get to swiping.
Witt is the WC top 10 card. I’m guessing that after this WC the top 10 cards will be in a choice pack for for three wins or something. They have already been giving away Chase pack choose 1 player packs in WC.

I hope and pray all 119 people in the Babe queue, for instance, are using stubs from playing the game (and flipping, if that works for them) rather than buying them.
I am probably being overly hopeful, but the idea of people dropping $600USD (or whatever it costs) to get a million stubs makes my head hurt for them.It is very easy to earn stubs or flip for stubs, especially at this point in the year. I highly doubt anyone is paying $600 for one card.
Don't underestimate whales. They wouldn't be making anti-player decisions like this if the gain in $ wasnt offsetting the lost customers.
I personally don't see why anyone would purchase stubs at all with the current model, the value is so absurdly low for the dollar. But people are obviously doing it.

The fact this game has made over $200M despite a subpar effort in every regard shows that people are indeed spending money.
People can do what they want with their money but rest assured there are lots of players that drop thousands of dollars on this game without blinking. Some are gambling addicts, some are wealthy and don’t want to spend time flipping, and some just are uber competitive.

Yes, this is definitely the sad reality.
I know it's harder to fathom than with 2K, for instance, as stubs are much easier to make, but using that premise to assume that no one is spending money is fanciful.I wish it wasn't the case as i have strong views about the predatory nature of live service video games, but it is the case, sadly.

Anyone use Trout or Babe, Cliff Lee or L Walker? Didn't know if worth the stubs. Almost done with Zobrist when I complete Spotlight and didn't know about next collection

I've been using Trout in LF. I always love Trout cards and this one is no different. Has definitely been worth the stubs in my opinion.

I have Griffey in LF and the Awards Trout in RF. Trout is amazing ,love his cards, always worth the stubs!

I've used all bar Babe (120 in the queue so it'll take a long while to get him, if at all).
I packed Trout and he's really good, better than this stats.
Cliff Lee is excellent on higher difficulties but can get shelled if you're less skilled.
Larry Walker is awesome, always love his cards. -

HOF Beltran is my CF. I had Beltran in RF and Trout in CF. But I switched because Beltran can cover more ground is a little better defensively.
