Ranked Cheating is at Unprecedented Levels

Turn off crossplay if you’re on a PS5. Majority is always Xbox or PC players.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN
Listen sonny. It used to fire me up to lose online but now I could care less. What I posted was just what happened in our game. Nothing I said was overblown. I just find it very hard for a team in Co-Op rated in the 500’s to hit that many PP in 4 innings. Out. -
I get very suspicious when there is excessive pausing and then they blast one.

I think I've played the show 1 Friday in the last two months and I was bored to death and felt like I wasted a Friday.
So many things caused me not to play anymore including the cheating. I quit playing online before I quit playing all together. I actually canceled my live ps membership.
I found that because of all the cheating noise I ended up feeling like EVERYONE was cheating. Like if I lost or someone rattled off some consecutive at bats.... "this cheating is some bs".... I know everyone isn't cheating but you play online and now you almost by default feel like nothing is on the up and up. Then if you do play better than your opponent they just dashboard and quit. Either way it's such a terrible experience.
I don't really blame sds so much as that just humans suck. The one discord Kyle showed is like 30k paid subscribers to cheat at a game. Assuming there are more sources than the one discord.
Idk, seems like a lost cause at this point.
Maybe if they overhaul franchise or create a DD online franchise where I don't have to play other humans then I'll buy that but I don't see the motivation for the show 27 as it stands now and I've been pretty loyal die hard DD guy since 2020

It's a measure of the kind of people left playing MLB the Show in online head-to-head games. It's filled with people who think the virtual trinkets are worth selling one's soul for. They aren't and people who sell out like that are life's losers.
The offline play is stale because SDS hasn't invested true effort in upgrading the quality of the game, especially in the offline game modes. What SDS has done is far more marketing packaging, using new terms and phrases to peddle faux upgrades, vice actually code true upgrades.
The options for customers to customize their game experience has simply been neglected, so the personal touch that would add personal interest has been spoiled for many years now.
What is left is an online game experience, where the lackluster rewards are seen by most as unworthy of the time investment. Many of the honest players left the game title months back, and again a lot of what's left playing are the kind of compulsive types for whom ploughing money to purchase dark web cheat options seems like something worth doing.
So, I do blame SDS for sucking the life out of the offline game experience. They've been fairly warned by once passionate customers, and they've spent several years now ignoring the warnings, ignoring the sincere requests for game upgrades, and now are stuck with a sub-element who only play games to cheat at them online using dark web tools.
So, yes, human nature is at fault, but only among the very few who treat online video gaming as some industry where there are no rules, and no integrity. Since I heard recently the game became available free on Playstation subscription services, it wouldn't surprise me to see this as mostly dabblers, who look to exploit the game, along with a really sick set of people whose aim is to destroy the game and SDS, through using bots to harm the community market as well as cheat exploits to cheat at online head-to-head play.
Honest folks like you who just want to have fun playing a video game are left out in the cold, by a once proud software company that took pride in releasing the best sports game on the market, now turned into a short funded Sony spinoff, whose profits are siphoned off. SDS is merely trying to drive a tired old game for as many laps as possible before the thing just dies.
Not a pretty picture, but I think it's a very accurate overview of the bad scene.

@Dolenz_PSN I was headed to one of the camps. I didn't know the number or where to go, since halfway through, @dolenz_psn ate the map. Please don't ever do that again.

I was literally going to post about this. The leaderboard is about 33% cheaters with batting averages above .600 or better
