    I play for a pretty good Guardians team who are top of the division and winning loads of games. My starting pitcher is leading the AL in strikeouts and has an ERA under 2.

    Yet when my guy’s games come around, the team either wait until I’m off the field before they score or I’m holding a one run lead into the 7th inning which they then blow late on.

    I really want to win a Cy Young but the thing holding me back is my number of wins every season. Has anyone encountered this and what can I do about it?

    Tale as old as time.

    This is one of those issues that plague RTTS. Your guys just don't score runs when you're pitching. It happens to everyone.

    Also, you'll give up a hit in a close game and manager will replace you, only to have the next guy give up a bunch of runs and you get saddled with a loss.

    You'll get used to it.

    @StinkyMcPooter_XBL Currently on 18 starts, 6 wins, 2 losses.

    Absolute joke that I’m getting robbed of a Cy Young because my team refuses to score runs until I leave the field.

    It's the same old story of how the SDS code team has coded the game up with biases that try to subdue the achievements of the avatar player. This the result of too many loudmouths complaining that the game was too easy. I've written this before, but it bears repeating here. Coders seem to take such feedback personally, as though it's an insult against them. So, they then work to craft a more challenging situation.

    That may make the obsessive types happy who treat a video game like some professional enterprise. But, for the casual gamer it makes the game unrewarding and unpleasing, especially when the skew is so blatant that it beggars belief.

    The professional term for it is loss of immersion. A team doesn't consistently fold up into mass failure for one pitcher and morph into a world beater for every other pitcher on the staff. Ignore those who will certainly appear here with the SDS defense of "that's baseball." They take the outlier and try to portray it as the normal.

    @PriorFir4383355_XBL I read somewhere that because I’m my team’s ace, I end up facing other team’s aces and that’s why my team don’t put up any runs?
