Anyone else think franchise mode is too easy?

I feel like its too easy to build a team of high 90s players. Trades are too easy (example : you can trade a horrible contract for a good prospect), free agents when you start a franchise mode are stacked, if you wait till february you can sign good remaining free agents for minimum.... just me? On the flip side, i feel like hitting is way too hard. Get good /good and hit a weak hit or every solid line drive is right at someone

Do you have ignore budgets on? That might be your problem, makes it so you can sign or trade for anybody with no restrictions.

Nope, i have budgets on. Thats why i trade my big contracts (zack britton is a 77 overall making $15 mil a year) then sign a 78 overall 19 year old with a potential for 60k

I like the current franchise mode, turn off budgets and just play, although trade demands & hold out would make it feel real.

I wish franchise mode at different difficulties. I do thing to make the mode harder naturally because I see it as more realistic but the trade logic needs a lot of work. Prospects aren't valuved high enough and older players on long contracts are valued too highly

When I started a new franchise to move Miami to Vancouver, I noticed there was a slide that stated Beginner or Moderate/advanced? Does anyone know what affect that has on the game? I think I picked Beginner, or can I change it somewhere in settings.

You need to handicap yourself. I personally put trades and signings and contracts to auto and treat myself as the manager so I can't abuse the trade/signing system and have to deal with whatever trades/signings the computer gives me.

Yes, I've done this before in the past. It's a lot of fun. It sort of puts you in the seat of a fan as you watch your team make moves that you love or hate. Makes for some interesting story lines.
