Disgusting - My last WC game….just a pure example of what’s wrong with this game.

Playing on legend….I ended up winning 3-2.
Bat was a wet noodle, every good timing swing barely off the absolute center off the middle pci dot was a scripted out to a fielder.
I go up 1-0 on a hr ball I barely got in the outer portion of the PCI…of course…. after not being able to buy a hit.
My opponent is struggling…decides to bunt five times in a row and scores two runs off of the same stupid animation where the batter barely beats the pitcher to the bag. You have to be Fn kidding me. Is this MLB The Show 15?
My opponent brings in Hoffman and spams changeups for three innings lmao. Every ball in play is a decent to good swing right at a fielder.
Ninth inning I hit a two run game winning homerun on a ball barely in the PCI early swing. Of course…..
I mean wtf kind of a disaster is this game haha. Can’t buy a hit on good swings, bombs on bad swings, people spamming changeups and cheese bunting/stealing. Absolutely disgusting gameplay haha.

I thought about picking up 2K this year, haven't played it in like 2 or 3 years I think. Decided to check out what people were saying and it was hilarious to see that it was virtually identical to what we hear about this game. "Its the same game every year", "I already uninstalled it", etc. etc. etc.

@Pergo_MLBTS it’s really fun I’m in the same boat I haven’t played since 2k25 it’s different now but fun shooting took some getting used to.

@Pergo_MLBTS one of the hardest things to understand is the new badge system I didn’t watch YouTube videos or anything for my build just made one I thought was good. So whatever I get I get. Probably will end up making a second build at somepoint, but for now I’ll run this one.

The OP nails the ongoing issue with SDS's game code. It remains locked into an RNG engine that predetermines play outcomes based way too little on the quality of the human control pad input, and way too much on RNG based outcomes.
That stuff was OK 20 years ago. But, this is not 20 years ago, it is 2026, and SDS's competition has gone way beyond this level of antiquated sports video game code design. But, this is what happens when a major multinational takes a premier sports video game company and makes it a cash cow for the corporation and barely gives the video game company enough resources to survive, to the point where even middling "updates" to the game end up causing bugs that on public release humiliates the company.
I mean remember the screaming foul balls sailing over the dugouts for homers! That nonsense should have been fixed months before public release! And there are many other bugs where that one came from, many holding firm in the game for multiple years since SDS lacks the resources and leadership to scrub clean the game, much less actually upgrade the game engine to the 2026 technology level.

That's not fair to call it utter trash. They still get some things right. It's not completely unplayable.
That said, on the 'same game every year,' 'Train Sim World 7' will release in September '26. TSW6 released September of '25! The DLC for 6, is still on sale at ridiculous prices. Very few changes there as well, sadly.
I wish they could've blown train geeks minds by having the 7 line to Main Street, that took us to Shea, but nowadays to Citi Field in the game, but that may never happen, sadly as well. -

Great games coming out like grand theft auto, Halloween! I will never touch this game again after this year with a 10 foot pole.

@TheGoaler_MLBTS I get the baseball fix. I do. This game has become so toxic the baseball fix isnt even worth it to me now. All everyone does is cheese now. Because the gameplay is so bad...!! They make it so easy to cheese. Thats a problem. A problem that isnt going away until they upgrade the game. They havnt done it in 10 years. Game is ten times worse then it was and gets worse every year. Plus im not giving this greedy company who lies to its player base another dime. They broke me. Like alot of others, we are done.

@WolfgangMLB_XBL That's why i try my hardest to avoid said "dark competitive corners".
The game frustrates me daily, however my online experience is usually manageable as i just play with my favourite cards (or even new cards) and don't stress about the results.
