Content gaps

@rubicante23_PSN its a gameplay issue for sure. It depends on the connection with who you are playing. Yes lefty lefty mainly. Way too many things to cheese in this broken mess of a game

i’d love if on wednesdays they add A show classics to a repeatable diamond quest or conquest. Where throughout the year, every wednesday they’d release 3-5 classic cards, you could earn by playing. Especially since they already have the card art.

@Bridge-Piece_XBL Where's the "hate" or 'bashing'?
dont get me started on the events that take literally 8 games to complete and then nothing for a week online besides ranked. Ridiculous. Even last year they were at least doing weekend classic every 2 weeks. Now we only get that once a month. Shameful. They better turn this entire management staff over.
They are at the point where every card is about the same. Pretty boring.
26 was a very lacklustre product.
Kind of dumb for a live service game.
Lots of stuff they could do right now but they don't.

^^ when you release a yearly game that heavily pushes microtransactions it will, and absolutely should, have increased scrutiny.
Most people feel the gameplay is worse than it was a few years ago. That alone is pretty tough to accept in a yearly game (instead of paying $60 for a game made from scratch we paid $60 for a game that was mostly already made). Bugs persist year after year that just shouldn't.
Then you have the very justified outrage over the exploit and the lie about holding people accountable for abusing it. Combined with the shrinkage debacle trust is quite low.
Content is always going to have an element of you cant please everyone and to some degree SDS will never win here. They have done midseason adjustments based on our feedback at least, but the content cadence is irregular and the effective removal of TA and captains also leaves people wanting.
Long term grinds have been replaced with 'repeat [censored] to sell duplicate pack cards for stubs'

As an example of disappointment with the direction of the game:
There are many legends with no cards in the mid 90s. There are also plenty of cards that could have gotten flashbacks that haven't (as an example, the Mets have no Alonso, Nimmo, or McNeil card this year...why??) In the past, TA would come with retro all stars. That would have been a good time to give David Wright a mid 90s diamond, or maybe a McNeil or Alonso card.

I do agree about the exploit. I wish people were actually held accountable & the CCs are out of control with what they've been doing / saying.
But I do feel like there's a good amount of unfair SDS bashing that happens as well. Like I'm not 100% happy with the game, haven't loved the content model, lots of glitches & issues... but I just feel like I come here and it's always SDS being attacked.

I’m probably old school in that I believe you should, “say what you mean and mean what you say”
WRT the packapolooza glitch, SDS has clearly not done that. IMO, they get no slack because of that.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN This year has largely felt "mailed in", and it shows in the quality of the game. The content most times has felt stale and lacklustre. for a "live service" game, they're not really providing a ton of service, so to speak.
That phrase "mailed in" has been used by a great number of customers to describe MLB The Show for the last few years, easily going back to MLB 22. The numbers of people using the phrase has simply increased each and every year since MLB 22 was released.
I don't see any legitimate way that SDS escapes that accountability either. They deliberately shortchanged advancement of this once outstanding video game title for several years now. They were warned. They chose to ignore the warnings. I hardly think anyone has any sympathy for them.
