I don't think scripted is the right word. But as an offline players it is definitely biased towards the CPU for sure. When they have common players making insane catches as they run into walls and then player controlled guys look like they are running in slow motion and the ball goes right through them. I also love how I square up balls and they go no where but the CPU hitters don't even get the PCI on the ball sometimes and hit HRs. It looks "scripted" for sure some times.
The best one is when I press a button for my runner to got to a base and the CPU infielder automatically throws there even before my runner begins running in that direction!!! Obviously responding to button pushing and not what's actually happening in the game!!!
