why is investing and spending more important than actually playing baseball games in a baseball game??

Investing and spending is not more important than actually playing baseball. In fact I have been saying all along that I've been able to complete these collections by simply playing the game. But people get really mad when I say that.

@davisonkj17_PSN so you want all the best cards and all new content just cuz you have perfect attendance? There should be some what of a separation between players. There is no reason a guy who plays 30 mins should be earning the same as a guy how plays 2 hrs

    comprehension is difficult I know...
you have just made my point..(There is no reason a guy who plays 30 mins should be earning the same as a guy how plays 2 hrs)
yet a card can be unlocked in 30 minutes by spending (money or stubs), correctly guessing the market, or getting "lucky" with packs all help those who dont grind or play the actual game... where as someone can play more than they should and complete all missions, complete all offline content, compete in and have a winning record in all online modes, not waste time on the market or investing, complete multiple wheel spins (both xp and multiplayer), and get rewarded with the lowest mathematically improbable pack luck and .... and have zero collections done to show for it
but we all know nothing will change from SDS because this is making them money and there are too many clowns that complete the collections this way

@davisonkj17_PSN investing and planning isn’t the same as amount of gameplay. You should be rewarded for actually putting in the time and effort to get ahead. But sure you are really the one who can comprehend anything right? It’s crazy how idiotic some of yall are. Why don’t we make everyone start and finish at the same time while we are at it. Would that make you happy? You are complaining about people who actually try vs you who just wants to show up and get everything. Anyone who is actively working the market or spending real money should be ahead of someone who does the bare minimum

    @Apolloz_99_MLBTS

    so just to clarify...

"investing and planning isn’t the same as amount of gameplay. You should be rewarded for actually putting in the time and effort to get ahead.
    but
"Anyone who is actively working the market or spending real money should be ahead of someone who does the bare minimum"

so spending money puts you ahead of actually playing the game or playing the game better than others... ok got it... SDS is proud of you

Investing and spending is not more important than actually playing baseball. In fact I have been saying all along that I've been able to complete these collections by simply playing the game. But people get really mad when I say that.

That is because without one of these things, it is extremely difficult to get Beltran. Had to add a few in there for you to be specific.

    Spend real money
    Be elite
    Flip/Invest
Get extremely lucky with pack pulls
    Play like 3+ hours/day

I guess you could possibly play DQ for 2 hours a day and maybe get it. That's if you want to play that garbage mode and maybe not even get the elite prize and who really wants to play this mode that much. It's not fun. I had to play this for a few Beltran collections.

It doesn't irritate me that you say you have it. It's the people that can say it can be done while their pulling Judge/Ohtani, buying stubs, playing 6 hours a day, WS players (Oh yea, I've done this too and still not to Beltran) that sold the WS reward for 200k or played high in WC where the rewards are better.

Without these things it is extremely difficult to do the collections and a very unrewarding game. I played as much time on PGA Tour 2k35 as I did on PS5 MLB The Show and felt very rewarded for my time. Maybe because I didn't have to rely on pulling Ohtani, Judge, Chase cards or rare round cards.

Also, I don't have Beltran. How am I supposed to prepare for the next collection? I just recently got Martinez so even if I wanted to invest, I didn't have the stubs. If I get Beltran in the next month, maybe I'll look into "investing" in some cards.

Same except I just got 99 Miggy and 4 vouchers away from V-Mart but only have 34K stubs so Beltran and investing is not a option for me at least

@davisonkj17_PSN are you regarded? If you spend real money on the game you should be ahead of players who don’t. Just cuz you spend real money on the game doesn’t mean you are better at the game. But it will put you ahead as far as collections and buying things goes. Anyone who is actively doing more than you will be ahead of you. It’s really simple you want more you have to do more. Idk why you are confused by this.

    @Apolloz_99_MLBTS
    Am I regarding what?
I am regarded as an avid baseball fan and a long time gamer in the baseball world.
This is regarding playing a baseball game... just because you like spending money on online transactions doesnt mean you should be ahead of people who play the game and are good at it... this isnt really a hard concept to understand.. unless you have some kind of financial stake in SDS making more money or you are just really really bad at the game and you have to justify buying video game items when you already spent money on the game to begin with

    how rewards should be earned:
    Skill
    Grinding/gameplay
    Luck
    Spending

    how rewards are actually earned:
    Spending
    .
    Skill
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Luck
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Grinding/gameplay

    .wow...just wow...
    thanks for the laughs

So I haven't done any of these and still well over 1 million+ from Beltran. I would love to know how you are making stubs just "playing the game" without doing any of the above. I don't know what your point is. Almost feels like you need validation, hey look at me. There's something you're not telling us and likely won't because you will do anything possible to say that I am wrong even though I am actually doing it. I don't bs people.

So how many hours do you have in the game?

Looked up your hours. You are not getting all the collections done in 2 hours a day without something in that list happening. You are full of [censored]. Is the point to try to discredit me? It's a forum I could not care less about what people on this forum think of me. Is it to make yourself look cool? Yea, no one cares. Is it to try to be optimistic and give people "hope" for collections? Think they would rather have the truth.

So how many hours do you have in the game?

I'm not sure why you are taking this so personally. It's not about you being wrong and it has nothing to do with me needing validation. Your experience is your experience and I believe you. I'm just letting people know that my experience has been different and the only reason I am replying is because you keep telling people these things are extremely difficult and I'd like people to know that they aren't because I have actually done it.

The vast majority of my stubs have come from simply selling the cards I earned from playing the game when the L&F collections come out because the prices jump. Then when they go back down a few weeks later I buy back what I need.

I don't have the game in front of me right now but I think I've played about 300 hours, which I think comes out to an average of about 2 hours a day since release. Obviously some days I have played more and other days not at all.
