Why is Ohtani Live card risen in price?

I don't play as much since CFB27 came out. I did the HOF program and thought I had enough to buy Live Series Ohtani which is the last card I need to complete the LIVE series.
But I see his card near 900K now. I think it must be the highest ever.
Why is this card so high in price now? I see he has a all star game card too which I would have thought would replace his Live card and make it cheaper.

His card isn't high because people play with it, no one does. His card is high because he is THE card gatekeeper to the live series.

New l&f collection yes I know he has nothing to do with it but it will make all card prices go up as stubs are high demand.
