We don't agree, actually.

I'm pretty sure that many of you have seen MLB advertising the fans "supposedly" wanting a salary cap, and that we agree with the stupid idiocracy the owners have.
This is just straight nonsense. (holy FNF reference)
They pretty much miss the point. They act like the players are the problem. Mind you, the ones who are offering 50 million dollars a year for players are acting like the players were demanding 400 millions dollars a year or something. Because they were the ones, not the players.
Apparently, a cap will apparently bring "more competitiveness" to the league. The reality, the opposite. The same teams in leagues like the NBA and NFL will consistently make the playoffs, while teams that are consistently awful because of horrible ownership get punished doing so. The same thing will carry over to the MLB.
The MLB thinks we are dumb. Rob Manfred thinks we are dumb. We are not dumb. The people in the advertisements watch the MLB through TikTok edits and and YT shorts. They aren't real fans. They are fake fans of the game who barely watch any games, and when they do so, the turn it off after the 1st inning.
MLB take notes, (well you probably can't, since Manfred is a moron with no understanding of how the league works) because the players will not agree. I don't care if we cancel the season. I want the MLB to learn that we don't agree.
And anybody who thinks the salary cap is good, just whine that your terrible team can't make the playoffs. Guess who is the problem. Not the players, but the management.
Carry on.

I mean............. I'm not one to sing Manfred praises, but pitch clock, pitch challenging, etc. Some great changes have happened under him.
